If youâre looking for a place to get your head down and nothing more this works, a few minor touches could improve the stay somewhat.
We were only after a place to sleep and for that itâs fine.
Bedding was clean although the bed was poor. The en suite was clean but uninviting. Parking is NCP and the outside entrance/exit is the rubbish store and was teaming with flies when we left.
This was the WORST experience Iâve ever had!
Room #1 - feces in the bowl. Stained bed sheets. Owner âhumbly apologizedââŠhe should have done much more than that!
Moved me to a different roomâŠ
Room #2 - stains and dust everywhere!
Looks like the rooms havenât been cleaned or dusted for years!
RUN AWAY!
Needs up dating room was very cold that probably didnât help by the hole in the window. There was a smell of mould and what looked like mould specs on the bed sheets. Shower was pour quality and definitely wonât be going back thatâs for sure.
Poor ,disappointing to find net photos didnât correspond to actual room ! Live music directly below room a real bummer ! Bathroom shower window holed and mouldypoor fittings ! This is not a hotel itâs a pub with rooms ! Description used by owner on arrival ! Should have left immediately!
Our stay at the White Hart was probably a good "you get what you pay for" example. The price was remarkably low and for that we got a slightly eccentric, basic room but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good (even if there was some flaking paint in the bedroom). It was also quite "fun" finding our own way out in the morning, but we did, and were not looking to get back in.
Am I complaining? Absolutely not. Would I stay again? Probably not: I could afford to pay more and would probably choose to do so for a more conventional accommodation.
It was clean and basic the shampoo and shower dispensers were empty we had half a roll toilet roll which this should have been sorted before quests arrive no one to check us out so had to put keys through letter box no conversation had between us and pub owner
It was good for shopping as everything is close by,you have to pay for parking which is very close to the property The down.down stairs are better than the upstairs as the double bed was uncomfortable it needs a wardrobe in the room plus the tv remote didn't work the t.v. and it needs some decorating doing to the room, plus we got locked out of the property on the way back from breakfast need to throw stones at the landlords window
I stayed on a Thursday night, very convenient location (near the city centre).
The rooms are right above a pub so you can hear the loud music being played âtil late but this didnât bother me as I was pretty tired and fell asleep almost immediately after checking in.
The bed was comfortable, room was relatively clean.
A very convenient room for our needs which were perfectly met, brilliant value for money. No frills accommodation, basic but most importantly, clean and well maintained. Town centre location. Anita and Neal were very welcoming and provided us with a key so we could come and go as we pleased regardless of the hour. Self checkout simple. Would use this accommodation again
