Family Reunion at the Lake

This was our 2nd year at this property. It was perfect for our large group. We loved the beautiful house, spacious kitchen, the garage gameroom, the patios, the beach and the lake. We hope to return again next summer.

Our Yearly Go-To

This has become our yearly go-to place for our family to all get together. It’s large enough for us and we especially love the large kitchen with extra utility space to store all our food. The two refrigerators are a BONUS! And they really keep the stickers under control in the yard and in the sand - makes for great barefoot lake vacation and family baseball game in the sand. We did have a little accident with a cut foot in the water and there was not a first aid kit to be found. That would be our only suggestion for the owner to have one for access if needed. But really, they’ve thought of everything else. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful time at this property. This was the first vacation rental that we had ZERO complaints about. The pictures listed don’t do it justice. It was clean, plenty of room for our 10 adults and 5 children. Fully stocked kitchen with appliances etc. very comfortable beds and pillows. Lake was beautiful (be careful walking down, there are stickers in the grass). Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back if we need that much space.

Birthday Weekend Getaway!

We just had the best stay this weekend celebrating birthdays with family and friends. The house was better than described! We had so much space, everything was well stocked, the second kitchen gave us so much space with our large group, and the location was just incredible! The owner was really great at communicating and responded instantly with any questions I had. We will definitely stay here again!

Another Awesome Gathering at Lake LBJ!

My family looks forward to our annual "beach" time at the lake and we are never disappointed! The house is perfect, has been recently upgraded, and has plenty of room for our 6 grandkids, 6 adult kids, and my 93 yr old mom to spread out and enjoy the lake. The lakefront beach is great for kids as they can walk right in to the water, play with the kayaks, paddleboards, and fish from the dock. The kitchen couldn't be better - well-equipped, lots of counter space, and a huge utility room for storage. Jeff, the host, is friendly and always ready to assist. We've rented many houses on Lake LBJ and this one is, by far, our favorite!!

Love this place!

This was the perfect spot for kids and adults of all ages. The sandy beach is amazing for little ones and there are so many games available in the game room for when they need a break from the water. The adults loved the peaceful views from the house, a well stocked house and happy children. We can't wait to come back!

Room to play

Each year we come here because its the perfect place with enough space for our family and grandkids to build memories each year. The kitchen and extended kitchen/utility has 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers and plenty of counter space to feed this bunch. The 3 updated bathrooms were a nice surprise. The best surprise was they took care of most of the sticker burrs in the large yard and sandy beach area this past year. Consequently, we were able to comfortably play a game of wiffle baseball barefoot and not worry about the stickers. Thanks Jeff for thinking of everything needed for a great vacation!

Great home for our family reunion

They thought of everything! The home was equiped with large groups in mind. The 2 refrigerators/freezers, 2 dishwashers, undercounter ice maker, silverware/dish service for large number of people were awesome. We didn't lack for anything. The bedrooms slept our group of 16 perfectly. The kitchen was roomy as well as the living areas. The separate game room was a HUGE hit with everyone. The beach and beach toys were very much enjoyed by all. Of all the homes we have rented in the Kingsland area, this is by far the best!! We can't wait to return next year!

Great place for families!

The house was fantastic! Very roomy. High-tech appliances... took me a while to learn how stovetop worked! Sand and shallow water great for kids. But still deep enough to jump off end of dock. A little farther to water than we're used to and walking back up that hill to the house ... whew! Need more lighting in back yard though. We had to buy some battery lights to light it up. And parking area is not big enough.

Fantastic set up for multiple families

This is a great property where the pictures don’t do it justice. There are two fully updated living areas, a spacious and cool game room, huge updated kitchen and even bigger laundry room. We had more than enough room for 3 families which included 7 adults and 7 kids. The bunk room is fantastic as well, which sleeps 8. Everything is redone except the bathrooms, which I understand will be updated soon. The only downside is that there are only 2 full baths, and no guest book (or single place for info regarding the property), but that’s easy to forgive when there are so many other amenities. Bret and Jeff were both great communicators, checking in on us regularly.

Perfect Lakehouse for our Annual Family Reunion

We just spent 5 days at Lake LBJ in the Sandy Beach Lakehouse. It couldn't have gone better!! The house has been beautifully upgraded with great look, beautiful furniture and a marvelous kitchen! From our 5 year old granddaughter to my 92 year old mom - fun and relaxation was had by all!! The management is always great to work with and the beach area is a perfect place to enjoy the lake. We've rented this house for several years in a row and will return again next summer.

Location, Location, Location

First and foremost this property was great and fulfilled all of our needs for a great long weekend. The location is easy to get to, grocery store is about 5 minutes away and the beach/lake was great for hanging out and swimming. Some of the pictures in the listing are out of date as they have done some remodeling mostly for the better. With a house of this size I wish they had more seating in the living room. The bathrooms were not horrible but they are in desperate need to be updated, seeing the work they did in the kitchen and the rest of the house I suspect/hope the bathrooms will be done soon to make this house even better. This is the first VRBO that I have stayed in where they did not have some kind of book with check in/out instructions, WIFI password, information about the area (recommended restaurants, maybe boat rental) and more importantly info about the house. My understanding is the boat dock is partial shared with the neighbor to the right and the big bush on the left is not part of the property but when we got their all of the kayaks and oars were over there. With a book explaining all of this would have saved several messages back and forth to the owner and property manager. Again the house was great and it served its purpose for our family. Will stay here again.

Much needed

Place was really nice. House was huge had enough space for everyone to enjoy and have their own space. The garage/game room was a nice bonus. The kitchen was amazing nicely updated with everything you needed. The up and down to the water was a little rough on the grandparents but the beach area was great for our 2 year old and other kids this property was everything and then some. Jeff was super quick to get back with us for all our needs

I could EASILY Live here!

We could EASILY move here and not miss having ANYTHING. The host thought of every single detail. The newly remodeled kitchen open to the family room made it easy for our annual family get together of 15 to cook and visit at the same time. There is nothing extra you need to bring to stay here. The butler pantry/laundry room has more than enough storage shelving to store groceries. The two teenage boys literally lived in the game room. And the younger ones enjoyed the bunk room. The bunk beds were built in and safe having one edge against a wall. Our favorite part of this home is the spacious kid friendly beach with covered shade, kayaks and paddleboards. By far, this is the BEST place for our family and we will be booking again next year.

Another great stay on Lake LBJ!

We returned to this "beachhouse" on Lake LBJ for our 3rd family gathering there. It's a perfect place for kids to play in the lake - walk right in the water, paddle boards, kayaks, dock on a relatively quiet part of the lake. The house sleeps plenty with extra room to spread out - even out to a game room. The patio is great for early wildlife watching or evening games. We look forward to returning in 2023!

Just go and Have Fun - Everything else is provided

This place had all the check boxes needed to be checked for our annual family summer vacation. There are 14 of us ranging from 2-88. The sloping ground in to the lake for the toddlers, the rooms for all the couples (especially loved that they had a crib), the bunk room for the kids and the game room for the older kids/teens. Plenty of separate seating areas and dining areas, kayaks and paddleboards, and plenty of bathrooms. This host thought of EVERYTHING that any family gathering might need. The kitchen was more than supplied with dishes and a bonus of having spices. This host is by far one of the BEST we have had the pleasure of staying with. We will definitely be returning.

Great House!!

We had a big group and a variety of ages, this house accommodated everyone perfectly! The water toys, sand volleyball, shaded lounge area were a huge bonus. The neighbor and house manager next door was super friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again, we had a blast!

Perfect for more than one family.

Had a great time again, second time staying here, the house has plenty of room for numerous family’s to have there own sleeping areas and works well for all ages. Had everything we needed from kitchen utensils to towels. Washer and dryer on site if you need to re wash any. PM stopped by and introduced himself himself and made us feel welcome. The sand beach was great for the kids and having the boat dock was a great addition since we last stayed. I paid extra to have access to the lift as I thought I would have to beach the boat but upon arrival, def did not need the lift as the boat house has cleats on the left side and we could just tie up and use the dock to jump aboard. PM refunded money without heistation. Only thing I think I would comment on, and it’s really being picky, is the home is older so some of the finish out is a bit dated, and the bbq did not have propane so next time we will bring some but other than that, it’s a fantastic place and we will def be back. Thank you for sharing your home.

A BLESSED FIVE DAYS

I am glad you are completely renovating the home and patio areas. But I don't think you could improve on the yard, beach, and water. You wake up to a grass-filled lawn leading to a clean, sandy beach, and right into the water or on the deck with open woods and hills on the opposite bank. The deer and geese kept us awed, especially the precious newborn fawn in the front yard! We look forward to our next trip after the renovations.
