Lovely older home, comfortable furniture and beds, plenty of towels and beddings, well stocked kitchen. Mirrors in the bedrooms would have been nice. Great location. Would stay here again.
Property was in a great location to go down memory lane while staying in a place well above the student life we were remembering. Comfortable, spacious, clean.
Union House provided us just what we needed for the month we had to be out of our own house while renovations were going on. Plenty of room, good location, well appointed kitchen. We recommend.
We came from Vancouver to host Christmas for local family. The home was perfect! The kitchen is well stocked, seats for 12 with the leaf in the table, cozy, beautiful, perfect. Of all the rentals I've had, this one felt the most like home. Thank you, Chris!
We really enjoyed the two nights at the property. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was nice not to have to worry about bringing tea and coffee. Close proximity to downtown was great so we could walk to reataurants. Chris was very helpful and quick to reply to questions. He made some great recommendations for restaurants. I would definately recommend staying here
This was a beautiful, comfortable house with lots of space and great amenities for our family of four. Check-in and out was easy, and the host Chris was very responsive to any questions we had. We stayed here to move our daughter into Univ. so we especially appreciated the extra large entryway/bootroom at the back of the house that made unloading and storing a number of boxes, instruments etc. really easy. We will happily come again!
This was our very first VRBO experience, and it was excellent. Chris - the property manager, was responsive and easy to deal with. For anyone staying in K/W, the property is central. For anyone staying in Toronto area, highway access is straightforward.
Lots of space. Comfortable home. A very tranquil backyard.
The property definitely gives you a good feeling so much so that I slept soundly! What more needs to be said?
The home and host were great. A few things I did not think to ask, but should have. Bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are steep with no handrail at the top where the stairs curve to the landing. Very difficult to navigate for a 81 year old with bad knees. The master bedroom has two step downs. That being said, for people without physical limitations this is a great house centrally located.
The house is spacious and comfortable, and was very convenient for visiting relatives in the area. The bike and walking path that's within a hundred yards is great. (And this house is a *lot* better than local hotels!) We will be sure to rent this again next time we're anywhere near Waterloo.
The house is well equipped, with everything we needed. Wi-fi worked very well. And when we had a minor problem with the door lock, Chris appeared within minutes to fix it up and make sure all was well.
One small thing: the railing on the stair to the second floor only goes part way up. If you're unsteady on your feet, be cautious.
