Would improve some window treatments. Plumbing needed attention, failing at several places: broken bath faucet, clogged outdoor sink, no lighting around outdoor sink and shower. "Sanitized"sticker trying to hide feces on the toilet seat. Quite ridiculous and most upsetting.

Great value for the location and size. Having 4 bedrooms with 3.5 baths was perfect for our two families with children. Loved the area, the house has both ocean and sound views. Quiet street that was great for the kids. Easy short walk to the beach. The beach is wide and flat and not crowded. Close to shops and restaurants. We had a great trip but there are a few things others need to know when booking: 1. The actual rental is conducted not with the private owner, but rather through Resort Realty. This caused my credit card to flag the charge and was subsequently canceled by our bank as it was flagged as fraud. We got it worked out but was inconvenient.2. The house is musty and damp. When we arrived the AC was set to 75 and the smell was strong. Thankfully it did improve as the AC ran for 24 hours but the first night was warm and the odor remained strong in the basement bedroom. I would suggest the owner consider installing a whole house humidifier or not turn the AC up so high between guests. I did not see any visible mold but the smell suggested it may be present. 3. The house has a charcoal grill, no gas grill.4. Wear shoes on the deck as it is quite worn with splintering wood and nails sticking up. Again, definitely not a deal breaker, the views from the deck are beautiful...just be cautious. All in all, we had a great trip and would rent again.
