Booked the deluxe room upper floor with pool view, was put in a room that faced the street and it was extremely noisy with street traffic and local bar bands late at night, there was a pool view if you stuck your head out around the balcony you got pool glimpses, however when I raised the issue with staff they were sympathetic, and extremely accomodating and had me moved to a different room within 2 days which was really nice, spacious and a lot quieter. Breakfast, food and cocktails were good, not fantastic but for $60a night it's a great deal really, just make sure you request a room that isn't street front. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, 5 stars for the staff! There were always sun lounges available around the pool. Pool can be very busy though and lots of kids when I was there (was Australian and Indonesian School Holidays so to be expected) All in all great value for the money and staff professional and friendly. Great cheap Warungs nearby, Art Coffee at the end of the Street had awesome coffee and food (at Aussie prices but well worth the $$) 10 min walk to Garlic Lane or a $2 Taxi Fare if you were feeling lazy. If you're looking for a great place on a budget this is recommended!

This is a great property in the perfect area lots within one block radius the staff very friendly. The food in the restaurant was good and very reasonably priced.

The Hotel was central to everything we needed, just a few minute's walk to the beach and close to all the shops my partner wanted to visit. Good clean place with spacious rooms and a good size clean pool.

One of if not the worst hotels I have ever stayed in… very outdated and worn down building, rooms are moldy didn’t even stay 1 full night had to leave at 4 am after waking up with a sore throat from the room conditions. Bed covers and floors were stained, not provided any wash cloths all towels were worn and dingy… night stand lights were dusty and crooked. Could not keep my room cool due to room electricity being ran off of the key card which you needed to exit the room, had to request my welcome drink which ended up being 2 tiny water bottles. Would never step close to this establishment again.

Excellent Stay – Beautiful Pool View & Great Perks! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The pool was a major highlight — it’s open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM, perfect for a morning swim or relaxing afternoon. The area was clean and well-maintained with plenty of lounge chairs to unwind. Our room had a city view, which made the stay feel extra special. Waking up to that serene scene each morning was a real treat. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a warm, welcoming vibe. You could tell attention was given to making guests feel comfortable. Another great perk was the free breakfast. There was a nice variety — hot items, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, and juice — enough to start the day right without needing to leave the hotel. Overall, it’s a great place for both families and couples. We’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend booking a pool view room if available!

Grand La Walan

We ended up here after a failed AirBNB. The hotel is very nice, with a lovely pool. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Its location is perfect. The beach is a short walk. Tons of restaurants, shops, spas, and other services near by. Bike rental right next door. Great place, would stay again.

The place has mold and the building is very outdated. In general, I wouldn’t reccomend. The staff is friendly, which makes things a bit better but in general bro thing can make up for a poorly maintained hotel
