The unit was clean. The location was easy. Downside-the master bed was in dramatic need of a new mattress. The indentations from years of use made sleep almost impossible. We even flipped the mattress ourselves the second night. It was mildly better but we had to put a pillow in the indentation to try to keep from staying awake all night.

Family Reunion at the River

Very nice home! We were a party of 5 adults & 3 children. Plenty of space, extra linens & towels if needed. Overall I'm completely satisfied with our stay! The showers are awesome!

Buyer beware!

Our problems with this property started AFTER we left. The owner contacted me and said we had damaged the hideaway bed. My 82 year mother in law had slept on the bed so I checked with my husband. He told me that a bar was bent and made pulling the couch out difficult. In hindsight, we now know we should have taken a picture but we didn't. When we left, we had no instructions for checking out so we didn't put the couch back together. Please note, this was an old couch with a VERY thin mattress. We wouldn't have had my mother in law sleep on it but stairs are very difficult for her so this was our only option. After two messages back and forth, the owner refused to believe us and charged us $200 for damage to an old worn out couch that was already damaged. Since when we got there, we had to get towels out of the dryer and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, I suspect the cleaning crew isn't very detail oriented and didn't notice the damaged bed until after our stay.

Wouldn’t recommend this property!

Television remotes in main living area and Master bedroom didn’t work. Back entry to house was dirty with dried grass and spider webs on the porch. Master bathroom had hair on the floor that didn’t belong to us. Master bed mattress has a huge sink hole so deep you could feel the boards. The mattress had fuzz balls all over it. I slept in street cloths to avoid feeling the fuzz balls. Towels were very fragile. No hand towels. Carpet on staircase wasn’t clean. Carpet had pieces of trash as if it hadn't been vacuumed and dirty spots needing to be shampooed. Bathroom sink needs to be replaced.

Great house with easy access

A girls group stayed at the house for our weekend of scuba diving in Spring Lake in San Marcos. The house had plenty of room and a good layout. Lots of places close for food and groceries, HEB, Target and Walmart are within minutes. Neighborhood felt safe. Only drawback for us was no outside hose to rinse our gear, but not a deal breaker. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to town!

Perfect size with a great floor plan!

Plenty of room for adults and kids, TVs in every room! Easy drive up to Buda, down to San Marcos, or over to Martindale for tubing. We had a great time and slept well. Dollar General close by and the local pizza is worth picking up instead of ordering chain delivery!

Lovely property and neighborhood

My sisters and I very much enjoyed our stay. With there being 5 of us, this was the perfect house for us. We did find ourselves wishing for a few more towels, a few basic kitchen essentials such as salt and pepper and ice, but these were quickly remedied with a trip to the nearby HEB.

The house was great, the location was great! The only drawback were the mattresses. They were too firm and a bit lumpy. We wound up sleeping on the couches the last 2 nights as the mattresses were so uncomfortable.

Very nice house

This was a clean and well maintained home in a comfortable neighborhood. There were a few minor maintenance issues that need addressed. The host was readily available during check in, but we had to call to receive the access code, and it would have been nice to have been forwarded the code through the app. Overall, we were pleased with this listing and it served our family well.

A near perfect property...

The property was updated & clean. There were only 2 complaints that I could possibly make. One, needs to be addressed asap. The other is minor. First, the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. I could barely get comfortable with sinking down and feeling the crossbeams of the box springs in my back. The other minor issue is the remote for the main tv is broken. Other than that, it was a greay property.
