Decent place for the cost, good location

The location of this hotel was very convenient, walking distance from shopping, restaurants and bus/train. They provided adequate amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, pajamas. The room was very small for the 2 of us and the bed was a double, both of which seems to be normal within this price range. One person had to sleep against the wall and right under the window, with curtains brushing against you. This room - while not luxurious - served our needs for a place to sleep, shower, and keep our stuff while we explored.

The rooms are small compared to western standards. If you have a clam shell suitcase, know floor space is limited even in a King Superior room. The Bathroom was very clean but there was a significant step up into the bathroom. If you have difficulties with tall steps, there are rooms available without the step into the wetroom/bathroom. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They can store Luggage for arrival/departure if you have an early arrival or late departure from Kyoto. Would highly recommend for a reasonable priced hotel in a fantastic location. 6 minute walk to Sanjo underground station and a few stops from Kyoto station on that train line. There are 2 laundry machines with tumble dryers available and accept coins only.

I felt like this property was misleading when it advertised air conditioning (AC) because it is not actually something you can control in the room. The hotel only has it on during certain hours and I was very hot all night as my window as chained shut. They also only have sheer window curtains and the bright lights from the stairway of the hotel across the street was very bright in my room all night. The WiFi was also terrible. But the staff was helpful and the bed was comfortable.

The location is the real star here—right in the heart of Kyoto, with easy access to everything. Temples, shops, restaurants, and public transport are all just steps away. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient, and we loved being able to pop back in for a break during the day. The hotel itself is simple and comfortable—nothing overly fancy, but clean and practical. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring and just need a good place to rest your head, this is a solid choice. Great value for the location alone. Would stay again just for the convenience!

For the price,i was very disappointed. Wi fi was slow. No coffee. sill to the bathroom from bedroom was 6 inches tall… you needed a little step stool. Kind of dangerous in the middle of the night. Charmless room and lobby. Very basic.

The hotel was nice, and in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful too. My only criticism was the noise in and around the hotel from other guests which did affect my sleep somewhat as the building has quite low sound proofing between rooms due to the building. If you are a light sleeper, this is something to consider, otherwise a great hotel and location.

The ONLY issue I had was the bidet didn’t work. However I do understand that sometimes things just happen and life is not perfect. However I would still stay here again and recommend it to anyone who asks. The staff were lovely, the room was fantastic and the location was great

Отель прилегает к большому туристическому проспекту, где ходят автобусы. Очень близко к знаменитым аттракциям Гиона. Наш номер смотрел на буддийский храм, но окно нельзя было открыть из за запахов, выходящих из ресторана под ним. Нетрудно было заметить что окна не мыли очень давно. Кровати удобные, все очень миниатюрно, что понятно в таком центральном месте. Но в ванной с туалетом был с самого начала нечистый запах. А так как на протяжении трёх дней пребывания уборка не делается, запах усилился до очень неприятного..
