A very convienient base to explore Kyoto from

The hotel is very convieniently located near the historic Gion area and very close to a vast mall that contains every type of shop you can imagine as well as many resturants. Its only about 100m from the Subway (once you find the right exit) and just off one of the main streets. Its easy to find as the rooms (not the entrance) face the new catholic cathedral. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and confortable (but like most in Japan very compact). We really liked our stay here and it was a very convienient base to explore Kyoto from. There are dozens if not hundreds of resturants within a couple of hundred meters.

We really enjoyed our time here. Very convenient location in the heart of Kyoto and right next to a 7/11! Hotel is very well kept, staff are friendly and the facilities are clean and tidy. Older tv though so bring an hdmi adaptor cable if you’re looking to stream anything.

This hotel is in the PERFECT location, right next to Nishiki Market and Pontocho Alley. Restaurants close fairly early in Kyoto (~5/6pm) but being so close to Nishiki Market, there was always plenty of food options that stayed open late, including shopping! It was also right in front of a bus station that was my main route for visiting other areas of Kyoto throughout the week. It was also very quiet and didn’t hear any other residents. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and spoke good English so there was less of a language barrier to overcome. Also reasonably priced too!
