Walking distance to Kyoto Station and there's a bus stop that goes to Kyoto Train station. They offer one hour alcoholic drinks at the first floor and free tea/soft drinks from 9 am to 12 pm to guests only. There's a coin laundry machine available.

This is the best hotel that I experienced in Japan. Very nicely maintained. The staff are very professional and friendly. There is a beautiful garden outside of the property. The breakfast buffet is also very good. Enjoyed our stay.

An older hotel, allows dogs so if you are sensitive/allergic just a heads up. Amazing, kind, and hospitable staff. They are always available if you have any concerns. They offer luggage delivery services via Yamato Transport. Rooms were spacious, considering the average Japanese hotel room sizes. Plenty of bathroom amenities. All you can drink for 1hr per day per room. No bars, but they have a good selection! Breakfast buffet is a simple menu but decent variety. The building next door has a very strong odor so every time you step out of the hotel you will notice it, but it’s not too bad. The lobby is a nice hangout spot after a long day. Location: in the middle of everything. If you don’t mind walking, it’s a convenient location! It’s about a 20-25min walk to Kyoto Porta (shopping and transportation), a small but beautiful garden (Shōseien Garden) right next door, local small coffee shop right behind (Cité Coffee). Kiyomizu-dera is ~30min walk. Plenty of restaurants/eateries. Popular ramen place is Honke Daiichi Asahi Honten, 9min walk.

The happy hour was quite nice actually, they have a really good selection (I really liked the Plum Wine), you can take a few bath salts per day which is very nice of them, the room was very clean + lots of amenities were provided in the bathroom. Great experience!!

Amazing! Highly recommended in Kyoto

Staff were very friendly, understood English pretty well. The room was very spacious and bath was big and nice. Location was pretty good, about 10 minute walk to Kyoto station and in walkable distance to all sorts of temples and main areas like Kawaramachi.
