Very friendly staff who were able to communicate well in English. Temple view from the room was amazing. Clean, comfortable and a short walk to Kyoto Station so very convenient.

The room was amazing! The view was incredible of the temple! The staff was the most friendliest and attentive that I’ve encountered and that’s saying a lot because most people in Japan are this way! If I ever return to Kyoto I will be staying here!! Love it!

The staff were so friendly! It was in a perfect location. And the Onsen was so nice after a long day walking everywhere. The facilities were small but clean. The shower in the room had so much pressure and was so nice!

Small but amazing

We arrived at 7am and staff were courteous and friendly. It took little time to drop off our bags and check in. On our return at 5pm, staff ensured we received our room keys and luggage quickly and explained the rules of the onsen. This hotel is close to Kyoto station and many subway/bus lines. It's a great hotel to stay at

Our room had a great view of the temple in front of the hotel. We had a shared family room for 4, which worked for us (2 twins, 2 futons). The onsen was really good - there're a large and small one which alternate for men and women daily. The staff we great. We used the free hotel bus to start our sight-seeing which was super fun. And, the breakfast was GREAT! Highly recommended, if you want an authentic,Japanese experience without breaking the bank.

Loved the public bath. It was clean and it was a wonderful way to end each day. The staff is friendly and kind. Minutes from the train station so it was quick to get to all of the sightseeing we wanted to do. It is right across from an amazing temple so we could enjoy it whenever we chose to. I loved the location. Beautiful room and great private bath.

Spacious room. I love the fact that the hotel has a traditional old Japanese house. So feel like I am transported to the olden days. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Always have a smile and greet you. Made us feel so welcome. The room is absolutely lovely. Bed was very comfy. Had plenty of room for our two big luggages. The bathroom was lovely. Shower was really nice.

10/10. We love this hotel. The property is closed to everything. Buses trains restaurants shops. Very well located. Staff was super nice we spent 3 nights and never had any issues. Room was super nice and we had a great view to the temple across the street.
