Picked it because of the location in downtown La Crosse. Unfortunately they must be refurbishing the place and decided to start drilling, etc at 7:30 am on Sunday. Would have enjoyed being able to sleep in.
The breakfast service was abyssmal and there were doors between the attached parking deck and the hotel that were supposed to be locked but weren’t. LaCrosse is a pretty safe small town but still, that was a little disturbing
We have stayed here probably 5 or 6 times over the last 4 years that my son went to Lacrosse. I believe it has changed hands 2 or 3 times. It has gone down hill over that time. During this stay the fire alarm system was out of service. We were on the 5th floor. So it did not make me feel safe in case of a fire. We did not have a fridge in our room. When I called down to get one the gal must have forgotten because I had to stop in at the front desk and then she quickly remembered. I know the location is great but you better not have high hopes.
Tile around the toilet was loose and you could pull the tiles up. Toilet paper dispenser was broken. Could not adjust the shower temperature cool enough to use it unless it was basically off. Lock on the bathroom door had been removed. TV didn’t work and had to be reset.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
For paying $292 a night I expected soaps in the showers to be refilled (body wash) and I’m not sure if my expectations were too high but I expected at least some complementary toothpaste.
Also the curtains are see through so say goodbye to any privacy since that area of the streets are very much well lighted and make the curtains see through.
Friendly staff. They did so much with so many people checking in and eating breakfast. Hard workers for sure.
Hotel was so convenient for graduation! Thank you!
Breakfast, although included was very limited. No refrigerator in the room but there seemed to be a place for one. Just fine.

We had two rooms. One room was fine, the second room the bed smelled like urine and the adult using the room refused to sleep on it and slept with the the sister sleeping with her in the room on the on the other bed.
The other room was fine and the beds were comfortable. and the rooms were clean otherwise. I would stay there again.
