The unit was as nice as advertised. Magnificent oceanfront view with access to the beach. Very clean with a well-stocked kitchen. Having the beach cart, beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, beach towels and swim fins were an unexpected surprise!Know that the a/c thermostat can only be set as low as 74, but the unit included multiple fans that you could place as desired. If you want a nice, quiet place in a great location, this is it. So many of the nearby properties are very large, and Maui Kai is the perfect place if you want a smaller property with a short walk to the pool, beach or parking.

we made the right choice

We were impressed when we first walked in. Everything clean and well organized. Even the cutlery was laid out in rows in the drawer. Amenities---couldn't ask for anything else. And it was nice to see that the last guests' old condiments weren't still lying around as they are in some properties. Appliances all worked, and the fridge has an icemaker. This corner condo has views of everything, and is perfect for watching the sunset, having dinner, or seeing the whales and turtles from above. The pool behind the property is very nice and has a covered eating area with two barbecues. We were most pleased with this property. It is as close to a boutique hotel as we have ever had in a rental condo. Also a perfect location for taking the boardwalk down the beach. Stores nearby including a massive grocery store. This is a great location and a superb property.

Great place in Ka’anapali

Newly remodeled, clean, very nice corner unit condo with an unbeatable oceanfront (almost in the ocean) view. Islands visible to the west, perfect sunsets every night. And the snorkeling on the beaches immediately to the right and left of the condo is a green sea turtle paradise.close proximity to food, food trucks, shopping, and adjacent areas like Napili Bay and Honolua Bay. We will absolutely plan our next visit to Maui when this place is available.

Great Location, AMAZING VIEW!

Everything was as described, but the view, WOW, it doesn't get any better. We saw dozens of whales each day from the lanai. Also, check out the food trucks just a few minute walk from the condo.

Fabulous!

We had a fabulous time! We loved sitting on the lanai watching the whales and listening to the waves. We would love to stay here again as it had everything we needed and more. We wouldn’t change a thing about our vacation, including our wonderful stay at this home.

Disappointment

Although the unit has stunning view and is nicely appointed, there were several major issues. The shower drain was plugged, so we showered in standing water. The floors and rug were filthy, and the sofa pillows. And all the windows are caulked shut, so there is no ventilation unless you open the lanai doors, which turns off the A/C.

Comfortable with an awesome view!

Very comfortable condo for two people. The building was very quiet and the corner unit provides just amazing views. We could see turtles and whales down in the water. The location of the building is literally right on the water with a sea wall and rocks separating the ocean from the structure. But if you are downstairs facing the water, there is very easy beach access to a very nice beach. I was concerned when others said it was rocky but we found it very easy. Thank you, hosts, for a lovely and comfortable week.

We Can't Wait To Go Back

Everything was perfect about the condo, the views, and location. The condo was beautiful and exactly like the pictures showed. The views of watching the whales, turtles, and the sea lion were priceless! The only thing we would change is a different mattress, it was really hard and uncomfortable for us. We celebrated our honeymoon here and can't wait to come back again for a vacation. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Perfect place it paradise

We visit Maui once a year and have a timeshare right next door to the Maui Kai. This year, we decided to try staying here instead and it was fantastic. For less than our annual maintenance fee, we had an ocean front, corner room with unbelievable views. Even better was the fact that there were no crowds, no fighting for pool chairs—just a beautiful, quiet place in a perfect location. The unit was immaculate and well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We will definitely return here again and again. Walk across the street to Java Jazz for a great breakfast and enjoy the food trucks nearby for a casual dinner. Highly recommended.

Outstanding views!

We really enjoyed our time at Maui Kai. The views from the 9th floor corner room were phenomenal! Th only issue we had was the precarious way you had to get to the beach on either side of the hotel. I understand that the tide causes the size of the beach to change, but there must be some other way than having to climb over rocks to get down to the beach. I saw quite a few people lose their balance. Definitely not an option for the elderly. That being said, the condo was in a great location and you could easily drive to Ka’anapali beach to watch the cliff divers and see beautiful sunsets while drinking Mai tais!

Breathtaking

I couldn't have asked for a condo with a better view. From the lanai we enjoyed beautiful sunrises and watching the turtles. We walked most places that we ate. There was a food truck park, a hotel bar, and an array of sit-down restaurants all within walking distance. The condo was clean and comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. There were beach chairs, a cooler and things to enjoy the beach and pool with. We didn't venture to the pool until our last night, but when we did we discovered that the pool was much more than just a pool. There was a grilling spot with picnic tables, a full kitchen, ping pong, books, games, etc. all available for use. And the operations manager (I forgot his name) was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful View

This unit was just beautiful, well taken care of and had an amazing view! It is a corner unit so you get extra light from a large window that faces the beach next door. You get a great view of the sunsets too! There were a couple cons for us. The windows in the unit don’t open (at least we couldn’t get them open if they do). We would have loved to just have the windows open while we sleep. The beach access isn’t easy. The stairs are blocked off and the side access had huge rocks you have to climb over. The easiest way to get to the beach was to walk next door and use their access.

Epic Experience

You cannot do better than to stay at this property. It is a high floor, corner condo. Most nights we had dinner on the beautiful Lanai while we watches the sunset. You cannot beat the view. The property was close to activities and easy to get to. Check in was a breeze. I er all recommended!

The condo is the perfect layout, corner unit with views from both sides. The patio was beautiful, we could spot fish, dolphins, and turtles from above. We spent most of the days on the beach next door using the included chairs. Separate bedroom is nice and mattress was comfortable. Would start her again for sure.

You cannot go wrong staying here. The decor and ambiance inside was so welcoming and beautiful. The views were spectacular. Do yourself a favor and book this spot. It will definitely be our go to when staying in Maui. It was our first time in Hawaii and everything was smooth from the start. Love, love, love it here!

Clear views in Kaanapali

My partner and I truly enjoyed our stay in this unit. The views of the coast line up to Kapalua, the neighboring islands and the turtles swimming around were all fantastic to see while drinking coffee and having dinner on the lanai. Bring your snorkel gear because right out front of the building there is a lot to see. Highly recommend staying here.

Accurate description, nice place

The condo itself was clean, well kept and equipped. The view was spectacular. Only complaints we had were whistling from the wind due to poorly sealed doors and windows but have nothing to compare it to so that may be a regional thing. Beach access from the property was a little sketchy because you had to negotiate some rocks, but there were plenty of other options close by.
