Absolute perfection! Our first stay in lahinch and Ireland and it was spectacular!!! We felt so comfortable and loved the scenery of the beach and our cows across the street! We canât wait yo return!!! Cheers!!!
The property is gorgeous. Clean, new and everything in working order. The view from the living area was perfect. We were very jet lagged on our arrival day and were more than happy to sit in and look at the views. There is a road directly in front of the house. You can hear the cars but you cannot see them so it does not interfere with your views and we didnât mind it at all. The property is about a mile into Lahinch and there is a pavement all the way if you want to walk. Communication from the property managers before arrival was excellent. Lahinch is a nice little town with plenty of food options. If you want to try surfing this is a great place to take lessons. I highly recommend a walk along the promenade. When the tide is out you can continue on the beach for about 30 minutes. Great way to clear jet lag! Lahinch is a great location for exploring The Burren. The Cliffs are about 15 minutes away. You can drive yourself and park at the visitor Centre (15 euros each) or you can take the free shuttle from Lahinch (which I believe gets you into the cliffs for free). I highly recommend Caherconnell ring fort and sheep dog demonstrations. They also have a nice cafe and shop. Also recommend the tea rooms in Ballyvaughan. Great trip to the Burren and we would absolutely book this property again!
Lovely place. Well appointed for vacation rental (though a coffee maker would have been lovely). Bedrooms very nice. Whole place clean.Very hot when the sun shines because of the large but beautiful windows.
We were 3 couples travelling Ireland. The Cregg Beach house was a launch point for touring around Lahinch. Very glad we chose this property. It was roomy, clean, bright, quiet and comfortable. The property is an easy 4 minute drive into town for dinner, or to stop at Ireland's best bakery (Hugo's). The property management was very responsive and helpful. A hidden gem of this property is its patio, with great views of the Atlantic ocean and beautiful livestock pastures. The property management provided great directions to the property. The only (very minor) suggestion we have is for management to provide a diagram for all the switches and what appliances and lights they control. For us Americans, it was confusing at first. We've stayed at a number of VRBO properties and highly recommend this one.
The directions were incorrect; just past trailer park on the left, not the right. Made it difficult to find. The gate to enter the area was broken. One door was permanently open and the code did not work for the other door. We had to leave the car outside and carry our luggage in past about 8 houses. The directions said there are no numbers on the houses. Look for the blue door. Multiple houses had blue doors. When we finally got in, we found the fob for the gate and tried to get the car in. But the fob did not work either. The house is sparsely furnished but what is there is comfortable. The stools were too high for the counter so not usable. Appliances were not turned on so we could not use the refrigerator the first day. In general, not ready for guests.
