The Hideout - is a residential community nestled in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Containing state-of-the-art facilities, and over 250 acres of pristine woodlands for preservation in its natural state for all. A Recreational Community, including a Clubhouse, Lodge, Campgrounds, and a Dog Park.

Tucked inside The Hideout—a private, gated community in Lake Ariel—this home sits in a quiet, family-friendly setting with lake and mountain vibes. Guests enjoy resort-style amenities (lakes, beaches/pools, golf, sports courts, rec center, and a small seasonal ski/tubing hill), plus frequent deer and bird sightings along calm, walkable roads. Everyday essentials are a short drive in nearby Hamlin, Hawley, and Honesdale, while bigger adventures like Lake Wallenpaupack, Promised Land State Park, Kalahari, and Camelback are easy day trips. Rideshare is limited in the Poconos, so a car is recommended, and community quiet hours (10pm–8am) help keep the neighborhood peaceful.


Getting Around:

If you arrive with a car, you will be happy to know that there is driveway parking for 6 vehicles (HOA rules: no street/grass/RV/trailer parking; all vehicles must be registered or on Guest list notes). If you don't want to drive during your stay, there are options—just note service can be limited in the Poconos, so plan ahead.

✔ Community Registration: This home is in a private community. Upon booking, we will send you a tenant form to register you and your guests with the Homeowners Association (HOA). This form must be returned at least 2 days prior to your check-in date. A $100 late fee will be charged by the HOA if the form is submitted less than 2 days before arrival.


✔ Amenity Fees: Please note that the community charges guest fees for the use of certain amenities (like the fitness center or sports complex) and for equipment rentals. These fees are paid directly to the community administration.


✔ Check-in: All guests must present a valid ID at the security gate upon first entry.
