Inspiration Cabin is a delightful retro 1960s A-frame cabin nestled in the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Lake Arrowhead, where adventure awaits just outside your door. There are numerous opportunities for hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, and birdwatching nearby. After a day full of activities, return to enjoy the comfort and coziness of this unique cabin.
Upon entering through the original, stained glass, diamond-patterned front door, guests will see a cozy bedroom on the right-hand side of the hallway. On the left-hand side of the hallway is the bathroom. The hallway itself offers a welcome message for guests, an original watercolor painting of the house done by the previous owner, and a bulletin board with important information. The hallway leads to the bright, natural light- filled main living area and kitchen on the left. Around the corner from the main living area on the right is a full set of stairs that leads up to the loft where the main bedroom is located. Back in the living area, another original, stained glass, diamond-patterned door leads to the spacious, fully enclosed deck, with beautiful forest views, a natural gas BBQ grill, and ample seating to enjoy the scenery, fresh air, and a meal or a drink. The gate on the deck opens to a small staircase that leads to the fully fenced side yard, which is also visible from the kitchen windows.
LIVING AREA
As you enter the living area, the first features guests notice are the window wall and cathedral ceilings. The windows let in tons of natural light and, along with the tall ceilings, allow guests to appreciate the views of the beautiful alpine forest and sky while indoors. Directly to the left of the window wall is the original blue porcelain enamel wood burning Swedish stove. Guests can enjoy the warmth and crackle of a real wood burning fire during the fall, winter and spring months. A brand new, wall-mounted Roku 50 inch TV is located on the window wall to the right. Guests can watch their favorite programming on any streaming service they desire. Enjoy a movie or show on the comfortable black leather designer sofa with the ambiance of a glowing fire and beautiful views in the background. The comfortable swivel chair and ottoman are perfect for reading a book under a soft blanket while sipping coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or wine directly in front of the fireplace. The cabin has a small and varied collection of books available for guests' reading pleasure. Board games, card games, and bingo are also provided for added entertainment.
KITCHEN
This cozy cabin kitchen packs a lot of punch. The charm of the original wood cabinets complements the high-end, stainless steel modern appliances. Cook a delicious meal on the 5-burner stove with double ovens. Cleanup is a breeze with the double-door stainless steel dishwasher. Enjoy purified water with an on-demand water filtration system that provides both hot and cold water. Modern quartz countertops and retro-inspired tile backsplash are easy to clean and fun to look at. The roomy stainless steel refrigerator can hold all of your groceries and drinks. Inspiration Cabin has both a Keurig coffee maker and a drip coffeemaker to make mornings happy for everyone.
DINING AREA
The small but mighty dining area features a custom live-edge wood table handmade by the previous owner, mid-century style dining chairs, and is located directly next to the original blue porcelain enamel wood burning Swedish stove. The colorful, unique and beautiful pendant light above the dining table is a mid-century piece original to the house and perfectly preserved. A window overlooking the side yard completes the cozy dining area.
BEDROOMS
The main bedroom in the upstairs loft features a comfortable queen size bed, room darkening curtains, a ceiling fan, a full dresser, and a dedicated workspace with custom herringbone desk built by the previous owner. There are nightstands with drawers on both sides of the bed. A bench at the foot of the bed completes the space.
The second bedroom is located on the main level directly across from the bathroom. It features a comfortable full size bed, a closet with full length mirrored doors, two windows that let in plenty of natural light, and room darkening curtains. The artwork and light fixtures are original to the house and provide more of that mid-century vibe.
BATHROOM
Located on the main level at the front of the cabin, the bathroom features an original tub with updated gold fixtures, retro-inspired tile, and a custom glass shower door. The modern navy blue vanity has plenty of storage and features gold fixtures to match the tub and shower. The medicine cabinet and vanity light are original details of the cabin. Artwork and functional hooks for towels complete the space. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap are provided.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Inspiration Cabin is situated in the convenient Crest Park residential neighborhood surrounded by a diverse array of mountain homes in various styles and sizes. The neighbors are friendly and the air is fresh and pure. Grocery stores, local shops, and restaurants are conveniently located just up the road in every direction, ensuring you have access to supplies and delicious bites whenever you need them. The famous Lake Arrowhead Village is a short 2-minute drive away, where you can enjoy the Lake Arrowhead Queen boat ride tour, local shops, and local restaurants. It has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation making it more modern and pedestrian friendly.

The large, fully enclosed wood deck off the back of the cabin provides an amazing view of the San Bernardino National Forest. You will find ample seating areas to relax, including the vintage metal glider sofa. Enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee, read, and dine al fresco. The natural gas Weber BBQ is always available for guests to grill delicious meats and vegetables without running out of propane or having to change a propane tank. The gate opens to a small set of stairs that leads down to the fully fenced side yard where pets and kids can roam safely. The side yard can also be viewed from the windows in the kitchen and dining area.

Mountain weather is unique and unlike the flatlands. Driving up the mountain roads to Inspiration Cabin, you may experience dense, thick fog, and strong winds. This house is in a residential area where homes are relatively close together. It is a mix of larger and smaller homes. A perk of this neighborhood is its central location to restaurants, shops and activities. While the neighborhood is usually very peaceful, we have no control over neighbors outdoor activities during daytime hours. We are proud to offer free EV charging.
