Highly recommend! It exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully remodeled with attention to the details that ensure a comfortable environment for a wonderful vacation experience. Nice open floor plan with tastefully decorated common spaces, an very well stocked kitchen designed for cooking and entertaining! Really nice outdoor entertaining space as well. It was a short walk to the marina for a sail on beautiful lake Pepin and watch the sun go down.

Family Get Away

I highly recommend this home for your stay in Lake City! The house was perfect for our siblings weekend to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The beds were cozy and comfortable. Beautiful Stay

Can’t ask for a better location or property. Incredibly clean, beautiful layout, and spacious. Backyard is a huge plus. Check-in is quick and easy, all automated. FYI, if you intend on having any type of event/gathering, it’s best to contact the property manager, Brett, before booking. The information provided on the listing doesn’t match the rules and restrictions we were given after check-in.

Perfect! Perfect! In every way!

Felt like we were at a resort. The house was completely stocked and beautifully furnished. The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows and blankets if needed. There was a formal and informal dining area for 8 or more. We used both. The outdoor patio and landscaping was so beautiful! We admired all the plants, groomed yard and how clean everything was. It is a must stay!!!!! Thank you from all 8 of us!!

Friend vacation

This is one of our favorite properties! We go on a friend vacation every year with 7 adults and 5 kiddos and this house is perfect. It has plenty of space to spread out if needed or kids are napping. There is tons of table space for meals and games. We love the big fenced in yard. Brett is such a wonderful host! Attentive and really cares that the property has everything you need! The house is so well stocked- we have been here twice and will rebook for next year again as well! Thanks for a lovely weekend!!!

4 Generations Of Family

10 years old to 89 years old and we all fit with room to spare. VERY comfortable and larger than the pics indicate. Best beds I’ve ever had at a VRBO. Strong and quiet HVAC. I own 2 VRBO and this was better than I can do myself! I actually learned some tricks to make our places more comfortable.

4th of July gathering

The place was great set up with everything we needed. We really enjoyed hanging out by the fire. We did run out of fuel, and were thrilled that a back up was in the garage ready to use. Our only complaint was that the 2 basement bedrooms have no doors, are really one large rec room. As we were there with multi family group we were counting on having a little more privacy.

Great house for just hanging out with your friend's. Beautifully decorated and updated with great appliances and entertainment system. Has everything you need to thoroughly enjoy your stay. Owner is very responsive and great to deal with. Would highly recommend to anyone who is going to stay in the Lake City area. Lots of great restaurants and things to do there as well.

Spacious nicely decorated and very clean home!

There were 9 of us gals that stayed(Red Hat) group and the property was very nice, impressed with how spotless the place was and accommodations were great for our size of group. House well stocked with what you need(kitchen/bath etc) The Host, Brett, was wonderful to work with and addressed things immediately if we had a question. We met the cleaning gal, and she was wonderful. Very happy with our stay and the house. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay with a group

This house is a gem to stay in. It has a great layout with plenty of room to spread out in and sleep. There are great gathering places outside, also. The house is just about anything you need. Brett does a great job communicating and making sure all is well. The walk to the lake is a nice morning walk and close to the house.

Amazing VRBO in Lake City, MN

We were on our annual cousin trip & LOVED our stay in Lake City. The house was perfect. Very roomy & comfortable. There was absolutely nothing negative we could say about it. Fabulous Venue....

Can't say enough about this special VRBO! 10 of us grew up together in Plainview and were looking to be close to our roots! Our connection to Lake City was an easy fit and finding the Garden Street Retreat was perfect! The amenities were endless......great space, comfy beds, lots of indoor, outdoor space and a great connection to the owner for questions ....etc. We loved it! Lake City has lots to offer. So for those looking to explore southeastern MN.......this is your place!!!

We had a great time at the Garden St. Retreat! It was the perfect location to explore Red Wing, Wabasha and the Wisco side of the river. Sibling Weekend

This house is amazing! After over 10 years of renting VRBO homes for our annual Sibling Weekend, this house was #1. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. We are a group of 6 so we had plenty of room at the table which was a problem with past rentals. We enjoyed the sunroom and outside space. Brett was very prompt when questions were asked and checked in with us periodically to ensure we had everything we needed. He has thought of so many details to make our stay enjoyable. There was even an EV charger for our vehicle!!!One suggestion to make the house even more handicapped accessible would be to add railings to at least one entry point to the house. We had a great stay.

Great BIG gem in Lake City!

My family and I immensely enjoyed our stay at Brett's place this past weekend! The location is fabulous and just steps away from the water and boat launch on Lake Pepin. It has LOTS of room and a great backyard... and is VERY clean! Brett was on the ball with communication and was an easy text message away. We'll definitely come again to this charming, mid-century modern home next time we are in the area!
