Ok, but needs some TLC

Stayed overnight in Lancaster this past weekend and chose Parkview due to availability, convenience, and because we've stayed there years ago when it was Country Inn & Suites and thought it was fine. Our room (3rd floor) facing Lincoln Hwy was very basic (only light was nightstand lamp, no thermostat, tiny tv w/ a few channels), but most importantly, it seemed spotless. Our main issues were the rock-hard mattresses and the broken A/C. Every time the A/C would turn back on, the entire room vibrated, and it was ridiculously loud. Between the noise of the A/C and the road outside, it literally felt like we were in the middle of an airport. As another reviewer mentioned, it sounded like planes were flying right over. I maybe slept for about an hour or two. Had it not been late at night, I would've asked for another room but didn't want to bother for one night. I would definitely stay here again if need be, but would probably choose to stay at Eden or Amishview, as the price is not that different. This place has potential to be a great budget hotel for families w small kids visiting Dutch Wonderland across the street. They just need to revamp the common areas, hallways, carpets, doors, etc, as they were in desperate need of TLC.

This hotel has the best complementary breakfast I have ever had. Complete with hot and cold food, waffle maker, toaster and microwave for breakfast sandwiches. They put cookies out at 6pm and have a 24 hour beverage station. Rooms were clean and comfy. Pool and hot tub were open until 10:30 pm so there was plenty of time to enjoy. Overall great stay!

Our room at Parkview Inn had a strong muggy and musty smell, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. The location was convenient, but the air quality in the room definitely needs improvement. Better ventilation or a deep cleaning would make a big difference.”

When I checked in I was given a handicapped accessible room which I did not need. I was traveling with young children and felt a bath tub was more appropriate. I inquired at the front desk and was told because I booked this room through a third party (Expedia) I was locked into having that room. The clerk went to the back office several times to check with someone else as to whether there was anything that could be done. Eventually, they agreed to upgrade me ( I wouldn’t consider giving me the size room I asked and paid for as an upgrade) but regardless. I have stayed at this hotel for at least the past 6 years sometimes 2x’s in a year. In the past it was Comfort Inn and Suites. I may take my business elsewhere the next time I decide to visit the area.

Best hotel of the summer!

This hotel was the best hotel i stayed in all summer. It was clean, near everything you need, comfortable, and the staff was super! The morning breakfast had everything you would need to start your day. I would stay here any time!
