Daniel was awesome to work with, when I could not find the lockbox for the key at checkin he quickly responded. I did find it on my own, but maybe be more explicit in describing where itâs kept? Nevertheless it was quickly remedied. I had no cell service with AT&T and he suggested I use Wi-Fi calling which worked beautifully. The cabin is VERY remote and when my GPS went out I had to find it the old fashion way by stopping and asking people directions. I suggest an SUV, the road to the property is steep and it had just rained so I slipped and slid going up. The remoteness is what I sought out, as Iâm a teacher and crave quiet in my down time. All you hear is the sound of nature. There is a lovely screened in porch with a porch swing overlooking an exquisite mountain view. Great fire pit area with ample seating. The cabin is rustic but has everything I needed including full size washer and dryer. Paper products are provided, as well as dish soap, shampoo, hair dryer, coffee and k-cups. The bed in the Master is VERY comfortable and has a French door view of the mountains. I was there in early spring and the view was unobstructed. There is a mountain spring on the property and at night I sat out on the porch and could here it babble. There is also a nice deck with comfortable table, chairs and plenty of bench seating., both charcoal and gas grill. Make sure you pack all your food needs the closest grocery is a good 45 min drive away. Donât miss the Grayson Highland State Park and the wild ponies there. That alone was worth my drive from South Carolina! Living area is small but has large flat screen Tv with cable and Netflix. Plenty warm inside for the cool mountain nights and bedroom has overhead fan and electric fireplace too. You are surrounded by antiques and I felt like I was back in time. Itâs a steep hill to walk up to get your car unpacked but Iâm 62 and managed. Thanks for the peaceful stay!
