I booked a seven night stay at this location. Two hours before check in I was told there was a maintenance issue that would not be fixed. They did offer another property, however upon check-in to the other property there were several issues. The bathroom was disgusting, there were no blankets on several beds and no extras in the closets, we couldn't find towels of any kind anywhere, we found marijuana remnants on a table in the bedroom, there were issues with being able to adjust the temperature, and and the projector in the basement for the home theater did not work. At first the host was responsive and offered to have staff bring blankets which I said I would want. No one ever showed up. There was never an apology given for the any of the issues and I was given the excuse that the cleaning staff was rushing to get done in time for check in. I had to buy blankets that first night. After that first night communication was terrible and slow. They did not send anyone out to bring towels like they said they would. No one came out until night five to even look at the projector, which was indeed not working. One of the legs on the couches in the basement was broken, which I pointed out while the gal was there to fix the projector and she said someone would be out that day to fix it and I never heard back. However she did apologize for the issue with the projector. She was the only one I interacted with the was responsive. Overall not worth the money or headache of dealing with host
The house has been updated and was neat and clean.
The house was neat and clean.
We got use to the train going by.
The backyard was a nice size for the kids to play.
The host communicated to me the information well.
Positives and More Work Needed:
The inside of the house was very clean and nicely updated.
There was an ample supply of newer towels and bed linens.
The house has air conditioning on the lower level, but itâs very warm upstairs.
There are three king sized beds, not four as listed.
The front porch and back patio both needed to be swept and cleaned of debris and cobwebs. Nail heads were protruding on the wooden patio planks.
The fire pit was so full of ashes, it was not usable.
Two outside garbage receptacles and a recycling bin were filled to the top and overflowing when we arrived. We had to just pile our garbage bags on top the best we could.
Thereâs nothing the owner can do about this, but throughout the night trains go by blasting their horns. Sleep is continually interrupted.
A guest book or written instructions of some sort telling what to do with towels, bedding, garbage, etc. at the end of your stay would be helpful. Hopefully, the owner will take some steps to remedy some of the problems and keep up the good work with what has been done with cleaning and decor inside.
