Disappointing experience despite a nice property while the property itself was as described- clean, with comfortable beds and linens-my experience was very disappointing due to several avoidable issues. The day of check-in, I asked to drop off my luggage early, which the host kindly allowed. The Cleaner texted me at 3 PM and said that the property would not be ready until 430. I arrived at 5 PM only to find that she was still cleaning and making the beds and didn’t leave until around 6:30. She shared unrelated personal issues that made the situation, uncomfortable and unprofessional. The keypad entry didn’t work properly leaving me locked out the next day in the heat for about 15 minutes before the host responded. It failed again so that evening I left the patio door unlocked in order to be able to re-enter. I reported the problems promptly. The host offered one night refund , ( which I appreciated.) but despite saying it would be processed within 3 to 5 days, more than 10 days of past and I’ve received nothing and no response to follow up messages. Lastly, I only learned of the day of arrival that the wrong the pool costs an extra five dollars an hour something that should’ve been clearly stated in the listing upfront. Overall, the property itself was fine but the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unfulfilled refund make this stay frustrating. I hope the host improves reliability and transparency for future guests.
