Unsatisfied Guest

We had 4 nights in this property and it was not as accommodating as we thought it should be. The first night checking in, they had only 2 receptionists on a Friday night. Most transactions took 5-10 minutes each which was inconvenient for our party to withstand the smell of smoke on the casino floor. When we finally got to our room, our first impression was not quite our expectation, no wow factor. The room smelled moldy and the plumbing was bad. Our parties could enjoy a relaxing shower due to the slow drainage. We called house keeping and guest services to only meet “Rita” the virtual assistant. No one came to assist nor was an actual employee to meet our requests. Bearing with the 4 nights we’ve hoped to be acknowledged and at least moved to another unit with working facilities. The resort fee was incredibly expensive for little to offer. The drinks at the bar where the pool area was over priced for such mediocre drinks. Overall, we will not stay at this property nor its affiliates due to the experience. We work too hard to spend money in a place that is not accommodating. The Rio may need to add guest services to their renovation list.

Beautiful renovated rooms that have a ton of space. The hotel was nice for kids. Several pools and never had any issues finding open chairs. The staff was all friendly and helpful. The Starbucks onsite is ran efficient and lines never were overwhelming.

The remodeled king suite was a great room. The new Cantina food court offered a lot of choices. Easy check-in. Easy to navigate the property. The Impanema Club pool was amazing.

I was charged a smoking fee- which I don’t smoke. I am a cancer survivor. They mentioned having a sensor in the room that detects smoke- the only thing I had was my nebulizer my breathing treatment machine that omits something that could have been mistaken for smoke that set the sensor off- I am beyond offended by the treatment I received checking out- I told the registration manager that I had not been smoking in the room he told me to dispute the charge with credit card company- poor service- I stay at the hotel at least 2 times a month- I will not stay there ever again with the horrible treatment I was given-

Needs updating

The hotel needs some updating in the Masquerade Tower. It’s straight out of the 80’s. The casino also smells badly of cigarette smoke all the time, unlike many other resorts. This is particularly bad for this one because children have to walk through it in order to get to the hotel rooms, pools, restaurants, etc.

It was ok. Didn't like calling 2 times to have towels in the room and another call because the hair dryer didn't work. Also, we had 1 day where no house keeping was done. Not notified. Will not be staying again for the price and overall service. Didn't even provide a comp or an apology.

Great stay

Upgraded to remodeled new rooms was really nice. The adult pool area was really a good experience. Only thing is that they need more activities like karaoke, concerts& adult night pool parties.
