Shower drain clogged, toilet seat won’t stay up, shower curtain stinks of mildew. Had two incidents w the dealers and the pit boss. They’re careless with the chips and have no consideration for their mistakes. First time, a dealer accidentally took my chips on a 3-card poker table where I won and they didn’t correct it by paying out the full amount and tried to argue with me about the amount. I told them to check the camera if they felt I was lying but tried to ignore the situation and they finally acknowledged once I got upset. 2nd incident, dealer failed to properly pay out blackjack on a large stack of $5 chips which was worsened by a condescending pit boss who failed to count correctly and even began to also start touching the chips accidentally combining my chips w payout chips and even rudely told my friend to stay out of the situation because she had it under control yet had to be reminded of how much her math was off. I think it was hilarious that in that moment, she single handedly lost a whale over poor customer service and terrible counting who will never play a Boyd casino after an incident at a $5 table over a few hundred dollars. Pathetic.

The pool at the hotel is very nice and would be the only reason we return. Unfortunately, the rooms were dirty, and the carpets you can tell have not been cleaned ever. There was stuff under the couches from previous guests, and the bathroom was dirty in the window seals. Definitely can tell they just do the bare minimum to clean the rooms/bathrooms. Our tub didn’t drain properly either. Along with the rooms not being great, the staff at the front that helped us just seemed like we were inconveniencing them when they were checking us in. We also paid EXTRA for pool view rooms, and you can’t even really see the pool due to the ledges that they have installed on the side of the building. They should probably only advertise up to floor 6 for pool view because anything higher than that, you won’t be able to see anything other than the perking structure. Also the area around the hotel has gotten really bad. There’s ALOT of solicitation around the property and you can’t even go for a .5 mile walk without feeling unsafe.

I thought that the rooms were really in need of refurbishing. The furnishings felt a bit worn out. It just felt pretty spare: no refrigerators (very important!) no pen and paper, no coffee maker, stuff like that. The ports to charge devices were pretty inaccessible, and the light sockets didn't all work. The grout in the corners of the bathroom floor were grubby due to age.

The check in was really smooth and quick; the staff really tried to make us welcome- she made sure the location of the room will be convenient too. She also explained the food/beverage credit that I received thru Expedia. However, checking out was another story. As we went to the early morning session of the conference we attended, we got back to the room (around 9:15 AM) being cleaned/cleared by the housekeeping. We left the toiletry bag in the bathroom (took the luggage to the car earlier). We felt so bad for the housekeeping staff as he was surprised (and vice-versa) to see us entering the room while he was removing all the bed linens and bath towels. We told him that we haven't checked out yet and we came back to use the bathroom and to get our toiletry bag. He tried to call the front desk to no avail. We checked the bathroom and the toiletry bag was no longer there- we asked and he went to get it from his cleaning cart. Finally he understood us and left the room. I mentioned the situation to the front desk staff upon checking out before 10 AM. The staff apologized but didn't explain the mishap.

This is the perfect hotel if you’re traveling with teenagers. We were able to have a great time eating and gambling without worrying about what our teenagers were going to do. They went to the movies and arcade (and could have went bowling if they wanted to).
