Visiting Laurel has been on my wish list for a few years now. Finding this property right in the heart of downtown was an excellent idea. The apartment is wonderfully decorated and mixes the old charm of the building with a ton of modern touches. The back entrance was a little icky since the local restaurant workers use it for smoke breaks. We just used the front entrance instead. I would consider staying here again passing through Laurel.
We had a great stay. We rolled into town at 5:13 and our room was just so cozy. Everything was clean and tidy. Very good location! Easy access to everything for sure thatâs what in the downtown area. We atePoboys at the Commissary. The shrimp was excellent! The Creamery was tasty as well. Enjoyed Ben and Erinâs shops. We will be back from Illinois again and thank you for your hospitality!
I travel 4-5x/year to Laurel on business. I also find a little time to enjoy the town. This is my second time staying in one of their properties, and I love the location, cleanliness, friendliness of the host, and spacious accommodations. They truly think of everything. Checking in and out is simple and not draining on the consumer. I highly recommend any of their vacation rentals.
What a great locationâŠright in the heart of the old downtown Laurel. Everything was so convenient. The host was very knowledgeable and accommodating to my needs. The furnishings were high level and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
Very cute apartment. Exceptionally clean! Easy peasy check in. Great communication with owners. Perfect downtown location. Highly recommend staying here and visiting Laurel. Every place we had dinner, met so many nice local people who were extremely friendly!
The Mississippi Author's Suite at the Artisan in downtown Laurel was perfect for our weekend getaway.
Exactly as advertised, exceptional customer service and within walking distance to charming shops and restaurants in downtown Laurel.
As fans of the HGTV show, we wanted the full Laurel/Mississippi/Historic Reno experience and we got it in the beautiful, yet simply appointed Author's Suite.
Apartment is clean and new, living area is cozy and bedroom invites a comfortable night's sleep.
Location is A+ as it sits on the edge of the historic downtown, allowing you to start your day at the Coffee and Tea Shop, meander through all the shops downtown and end the evening with dinner and a visit for ice cream at the Creamery, without ever retracing your steps or using your car.
We extended our walk to the historic 5th Ave homes and Museum - not an inconvenience given the Author's Suite location.
Highly recommend a Monday-through-Thursday arrival to this property and enjoy the following two complete days of soaking-in the charm and history of Laurel. (Much of downtown Laurel is closed Sunday/Monday)
We really appreciate the work put into the design/creation of The Author's Suite and would be delighted to stay here again.
