This property is exactly how it looks in photos, stunning! The views while enjoying a fire in the evening are unmatched. It was close to hocking hills state park, our reason for the trip. Owner was so kind and responsive when we reached out. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, kids really enjoyed the games on the lower level of the house. Hot tub was a bonus after a day of hiking.

We did a small couples trip for 3 nights and "A Time Was Had". Ryan was very responsive. The place was great from the first night to the last night. Everything was clean and neat. No strange odors. The fire pit, the hot tub, the games were all amazing. And as an unexpected added bonus, instacart delivers to the door!!!!!!!! Definitely planning a round 2.

Magical family time with a view and stars

Great property! Spacious inside and out. View is amazing. Got the family back to nature. Kitchen is easy to cook in. Game room is fun. Would have been nice to have cushions for chairs outside and an umbrella over the picnic table. Ate most meals outside.

Best time!

Everything was great! Spacious and best view to relax and let the kids enjoy outside. Firepit was perfect at night , and the kids can’t wait to go back! Had mostly pre teen boys and a few younger girls and everyone was occupied with the outdoor and games provided in the house! Host was also great, will be back!

The home is exactly as listed. Absolutely beautiful. We have 5 kids ranging from age 8-19 and there is plenty of room for everyone. For those that will be traveling with a large family the kitchen is completely stocked with everything you would need to stay in and cook! All the way down to spices and seasonings! We had a great time and will definitely stay again!

Good night :)

Continued the fun here with our group after a good day on the Hocking river. Cozy lodge with lots of natural light, and great hangout nooks. Peaceful site overlooks local farmland, nice birdwatching. My only regret was not staying a second night! Responsive hosts via chat, they quickly addressed our questions.

Bachelorette Party

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Whiskey Ridge and it was nothing short of amazing! I stayed here 2 years ago with a group of friends and when I came across the listing again, I knew it was the perfect place for my bachelorette party! Ryan is a great host and is very communicative when you need him! The property was very clean and had enough of everything for our bigger group. It was the perfect getaway and within close distance to both Old Man’s Cave and Conkle’s Hollow! I’ve been here twice and would come back again! Until next time, Hocking!

Perfect for our family!

We stayed here for my husband’s milestone birthday. His parents and my parents enjoyed the space and there was plenty of room for my toddler and baby to sleep in the pack and play (comes with the house) in the primary bedroom closet. We loved the fire pit and view! We would love to return!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was perfect for my kids too. The closet in the master bedroom was huge and with a heat/air vent, so our 1 year old had the perfect dark room for naps. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Whisky ridge

The property is beautiful and full of things to do in the area, however we did find a moldy coffee container with grounds still in it in the basement, a moldy mill dewy sponge in upstairs sink, the cups haven’t been washed and one had lipstick on the rim. We had a wonderful time in the hot tub and there was plenty of room for the kids to horse around and overall was a great experience. Cleanliness was the only real issue. Would return again.

Such a great house for a family weekend. It was incredibly clean too. The steps to the front door were challenging for my elderly parents but other than that, no complaints. Would highly recommend a family gathering here!

Great place to unwind and unplug

Fantastic time with three generations of family for our annual reunion. Started our days with coffee on the huge deck with a peaceful view, played all day in the surrounding areas (zip line about 30 min away, boating on Logan Lake, board games in the finished basement with second kitchen), and ended our days by the fire pit. The home was exactly as described. Ryan made sure every small detail was attended to (kcups for the coffee pot, plenty of towels and linens, dishwasher pods, dish soap, garbage bags all provided, etc.). Well stocked kitchen that we used to cook all of our meals. And now my husband wants a Traeger grill-our steaks and burgers turned out great! Would highly recommend this property.

Whiskey Ridge a good stay

I rented Whiskey Ridge with a group of friends. Comfortable living areas. Big, well equipped kitchen. Master suite was very nice with King bed and own bath with jacuzzi. The two queen rooms were smaller, but comfortable and well-appointed. The two other baths were very roomy and clean, with lots of towels. The fourth bedroom had two bunk beds which would suit children, but not adults. The pull-out couches were very uncomfortable for any sleepers. I highly recommend Whiskey Ridge for 6 adult guests, if sleeping in pairs, and 4 children but not the "sleeps 15" as described. Ryan, the host was very responsive to all my questions in advance and while staying there. Location was convenient to the Hocking Hills and Laurelville for a restaurant, The Ridge Inn, and groceries. I recommend it for a family gathering.
