Everything is exactly as described in listing. Peaceful and quiet. Horse and donkeys were hilarious. Probably not the place for someone used to living in the country but great stay for us city people.
We road our motorcycle to Medicine Park to ride the area around there. We only needed a place to sleep for the night. This was way off the beaten path, down a gravel road, then across a field with just dirt tracks in the grass. It has a beautiful view. The Donkeys came to visit around 9pm just as my wife was about to get in the shower. She enjoyed feeding them carrots, they were not pushy, nor did they bang on the walls. We had dinner nearby at Ann's restaurant, the food and service were great. We filled up with gas and picked up a 6 pack at the convenience store next to Ann's then enjoyed a few beers and the sunset from the porch. The next morning, we enjoyed coffee from the porch and then set out on our ride. It is a shack in a field, don't expect anything more. If we were to go back to the area, we would stay again.
I took pics. Visibly dirty. No toaster. Water out faucet brown. Illegally dumping bathroom waters (bile) on ground under back covered by blanket to hide. Broken chair inside.big dip in bed like broken. Porch patched & or missing wood w/side step unsecured. Husband fell back catching on elbows and butt before hitting his back on main porch. Also they have a notebook for personal stay responses where 1/2 pages have been ripped out assuming it was bad reviews. And theres still more that isnt right, good or legal but hazardous instead. Will never stay here again infact, this place should not be promoted or allowed to rent as an airbnb. Never have i ever stayed in such a poorly kept & or poorly constructed airbnb. We wouldve been better off in a tent! Only upside: the poor donkeys living there. Which if u run outta carrots they continously hit the side walls and door with there heads very loudly. unsecured where husband fell catching himself from hitting main porch o
I expected rustic accommodations and to rough it a bit but was also expecting a bit more charm and cleanliness. It was a unique stay and it was fun feeding the donkeys in the morning but didnât quite have the charming surroundings I was anticipating. Some signage to find it would have been helpful. It was easy access to hiking and nature areas.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was fun feeding the donkeys and Bo, the horse. Cabin was tiny but it had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The sheets, comforter and towels smelled very fresh. TV had lots of channels. WiFi was 5G.
The property was accurately listed and was exactly what we were seeking. The donkeys made the whole time even more enjoyable. Thank you for a great stay.
This was our second stay. We love the quietness of the property and of course the horse and donkeys. Perfect spot for a weekend or midweek getaway. It is also a great base for traveling to local attractions like
The wildlife refuge and Medicine Park. Just make sure you bring extra carrots.
It was great! Loved its location, the donkeys & Bo the horse! Donât let the appearance fool you, it was clean & neat with no other people around you. Most peaceful place me and the wife has stayed!
I was looking for a surprise stay somewhere when I stumbled upon the donkey ranch. I immediately knew my wife would love it and I was right. We had a great time!
Okay...At first I was a bit concerned about the condition of the cabin. It reminded me of a ranch bunk house and was a bit run down on the outside. Inside, though, was very comfortable! There is a t.v., fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of hot water. It was so quiet at night! The donkeys and horse visited us when we arrived and again the morning we left. Loved it!!
Location is great and love the horse and donkeys on the property. Price is perfect and the owner was kind enough to switch weekends when i booked the wrong one, at no additional cost. Simple and fun....
