The views are incredible. Was hard to leave the sitting area, listening to the waves. Is close to point pelee and Kingsville was a great place to spend some time. Point Pelee park pass provided is a nice touch.
Property is truly a " Birder's Paradise". The cottage was as described and had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving week-end getaway. My husband especially loved the showerhead in the bathroom. The views were spectacular from sunrise to sunset. We took our dog with us and he loved sitting on the deck and watching all the birds. We spent a day at Point Pelee using the complimentary pass provided by the host.
The views were gorgeous in every direction! Several comfortable seating areas both inside and out. Issues: one bed was advertised as Queen but had a double mattress on a queen boxspring. Second, easy to trip on the steps going toward our car. Would help to paint the top steps. Finally, not enough light in the kitchen. Stove, shower, Keurig all worked well.
We had a fantastic stay. Truly a unique property with water on 3 sides- the sounds of waves feeling more like ocean surf! Sunrise and sunsets were amazing! And the birds were incredible even in the off season. Easy drive to Point Pelee Natuonal Park with the park pass an added bonus.
This is a nice bright space. The views were amazing. We found the seating in all areas to be good. The 2 bedrooms are small but the beds were comfy. Great outside spaces. All in all, it was a better experience than we expected.
The cottage was lovely and spacious. A very good experience. Facilities were great. Supplies such as dish soap etc could be monitored a shade more carefully.
Enjoyed the sound of the waves. Waterviews were wonderful. Lots of birds in the area. Was nit far from Point Pelee which in itself was a wonderful nature experience.
Nice quiet place to stay, very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. But shelves, hangers and/or drawers missing in bedrooms, we had to leave our clothes in luggages, not very practical.
This was our second time staying here, and while it was a different experience since we went weeks earlier than before, we LOVED it again! The deck and views are simply SPECTACULAR and is the reason we will come back yet again in the future (though the landscape is changing due to climate change - a couple trees were washed away just from a year ago!) While we didnât see many new birds this time, we were crazy lucky to have watched 9 trumpeter swans call the marsh their home during our whole stay! The included Pelee pass is also so convenient, as we went in and out with ease all week. We cooked at the cottage this time around, and the grill and appliances all worked great (but we do recommend Moonlight Grill, Gingerbread House, and Joeyâs Seafood restaurants!) Remember to bring your own side tables for sleeping if you need them like us, and thereâs nothing but salt and pepper to cook with in case youâre making up a grocery list! Other than that, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
Pointe Pelee is 10 km away, and a pass is included. The property is at the end of the road, next to the lake and the marsh. Lots of windows and deck space. Comfortable seating. Views of both sunrise and sunset.
The cottage was the last one in the row and is surrounded by Lake Erie, enabling you to see the lake on three sides with a lovely, long deck on all three sides.
There are about a dozen large urns spaced along the decks with identical gorgeous palms and crimson flowers in each one. Gorgeous!
Security lights flashed off and on every 2 minutes, making it hard to sleep.
Some receptacles did not work.
Silverware drawer almost falls out when you open it.
There was no toaster.
There was only a Keurig coffee maker but no Keurig 'cups' were supplied until we phoned the manager. The person who delivered the cups did not know how to solve the security light problem, and any advice given on the phone did not work as the labelling on the fuse box was so faint you could not read it.
No one actually came to fix any of the problems but only offered advice that did not work.
The large bottom drawer in vanity in bathroom would not close and stuck out in the way.
The bathroom sink stopper did not work.
Because the bedrooms were small, they are not suitable for seniors as convenient access to the other side was about impossible.
There is a 10-12" step from the kitchen to the rest of the cottage and the dining area.
The comfy stuffed chairs were beautiful but if you reclined in them, to close them was almost impossible. There is no lever like Lazy-boys but you have to kick the front harder to close than any senior can.
There is a tiny beach opposite the cottage which we enjoyed.
