Very relaxing stay. Modern house with all amenities. Owners were available and even reached out when the fire ban was set in place; we would not have known. Our stay was during a very hot week but we were never hot in the house. The house is very open at the back with large windows and patio doors providing a beautiful view of the river. The open design enables voices to carry to the second floor main bedroom and partly open loft bedroom so bring ear plugs. Also recommended are eye masks for guests sleeping in the loft or on the pull-out in the living room. Very close to downtown Gananoque. There is a beach and huge dog park about 10 minutes south, going towards Kingston. We saw a sheep herding competition there; very cool!
We had a lovely 4-day stay in Gananoque and really enjoyed the area. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Communication with the owners was excellent, they were very responsive and kind. The only thing we missed was a proper outdoor dining table with chairs, and a couple of Muskoka chairs by the fire pit would have been a nice touch. Overall, a very positive experience and a great base to explore the region.
Over all a comfortable stay and nice location. The view is spectacular from the living room and lots of space for larger groups. Very easy to get in, WiFi worked well (I work remote so important). The only comment might be to do a deep clean , under beds was quite dirty, and crumbs were left on tables from previous occupant. Also when I arrived one of the doors was unlocked - always careful to check as a solo traveling alone. Dishwasher is not working but that was explained somewhere, microwave for some weird reason also was not working, and the couch in the main area had a blanket on it as it was quite stained underneath. For me all minor things, loved the chaise lounge and spent my time there :)
