Familienferien wie sie sein sollten

Wir durften wunderbare, entspannte Familienferien geniessen (Kinder, Eltern, Grosseltern). Die Autovermietung via Vermieter hat perfekt geklappt. Die Wohnungen waren sehr sauber und wurden tĂ€glich geputzt. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefĂŒhlt. Die Ruhe und Schönheit der kleinen Ferienanlage ist einzigartig. Der Vermieter ist ein ĂŒberaus liebenswĂŒrdiger Gastgeber, der uns zwischendurch mit Leckereien aus Eigenproduktion ĂŒberrascht hat. Der Strand, der zur Ferienanlage gehört, ist wunderschön. Besonders die beiden Kanus haben es uns angetan. Die Taverne in der NĂ€he ist empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder einmal!

An unforgettable stay

If somebody wants really relax and become acquainted with Greek hospitality, the quiet, traditional and taseful furnished villas in the olive groove are a unique place. Ein erholsamer Urlaub in einer wunderschönen Umgeb

Bei der Suche nach einem ruhigen und erholsamen Standort fĂŒr unseren Urlaub ist uns Alexis Olivenhain mit dem Steinhaus inkl. Terrasse (ca. 55mÂČ) aufgefallen. Der erste Kontakt, aber auch die darauf folgenden Kontakte bis zur Anreise, waren immer prompt, sehr freundlich und prĂ€zise. Am Flughafen von Mytilini angekommen hat uns Alexis abgeholt und zum Ferienhaus (ca. 15 Min. Fahrt) geleitet. Das kleine Steinhaus liegt wunderschön und sehr ruhig in einen alten Olivenhain am Kolpos Geras. Das Anwesen hat einen eigenen und direkten Anschluss am Meer und ist somit sehr privat, fast schon exklusiv. Das Meer ist klar und sauber mit einem Kies-/Steinstrand. Das Haus war sehr sauber, in einen sehr guten Zustand und mit allem notwendigem ausgestattet. FĂŒr den ersten Tag hat uns Alexis mit einigen hochwertigen, biologischen Lebensmitteln versorgt z.B. Honig, Olivenöl etc. DarĂŒber hinaus hat er sich immer gerne die Zeit genommen uns ĂŒber Land und Leute zu erzĂ€hlen und die SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten der Insel zu beschreiben. Das Haus wurde regelmĂ€ĂŸig gereinigt, sowie HandtĂŒcher (auch fĂŒr den Strand) und die BettwĂ€sche gewechselt. Zwischendurch hat man uns mit kleinen Leckereien z.B. frischen Feigen versorgt. Da das Anwesen etwas außerhalb der Stadt liegt ist ein Auto unbedingt zu empfehlen. Wir hatten eines von Enterprise und waren damit sehr zufrieden. Die Fahrt nach Mytilini in das Stadtzentrum dauert ca. 10 Min. Zusammengefasst war dieser Urlaub einer unserer schönsten in einem wunderschönen Anwesen mit einem sehr herzlichen Gastgeber.

Wunderbar und sehr sehr herzlich

Es ist uns (Familie mit 2 Kindern) ein besonderes Anliegen, diese Bewertung fĂŒr Herrn Alexis Nikou zu schreiben, weil es uns hier so gut gefallen hat. Die Villas unterschiedlicher GrĂ¶ĂŸe liegen wirklich wunderschön in einem Olivenhain, die Villas selbst sind aus Naturstein gebaut , alles schön sauber , wunderschön eingerichtet und zur Ankuft von Alexis mit eigenen Produkten (Feigen, Feigenmarmelade, Olivenöl, Kaffee, Honig, ...) und allerlei KĂŒchenaccessoires ausgestattet.Der Garten mit dem Privatstrand ist wie ein kleines Paradies. Hier ein Tischchen , da eine HĂ€ngematte, dort ein Strandbett, dazu ein eigener Haus-Strand, der aus Kieseln und Steinen besteht, deshalb Badeschuhe nicht vergessen !. Alexis selbst ist wahnsinnig herzlich, er hat eine Menge Tipps und ist absolut vertrauenswĂŒrdig. (Im Übrigen waren wir auch mit der von ihm empfohlenen Autovermietung lesvos-car.com sehr zufrieden !) Zu guter Letzt hat uns auch die Insel super gefallen. Sie ist weit weniger touristisch ĂŒberlaufen wie andere, vielleicht weil sie etwas wilder, und schwieriger zu befahren ist und auch nicht die HochglanzStrĂ€nde hat, aber gerade das macht den Reiz aus und hat auch unseren Kindern sehr gut gefallen.

A fabulous retreat

We love this place and have for many years. A real treasure and so special. The owners are so accommodating and so lovely - your very own concierge who will only interrupt when you want but if you let them will guide to further gems. We are actually loath to share the news as we want this place to ourselves for many years to come.

Fabulous

My wife and I stayed here for one week and wish it had been longer; we were looking for a calm peaceful break with beautiful vistas, good food, history, culture and wildlife; we got the lot. The information on the website was accurate. A car is essential for visiting other parts of the island and Alexis arranged a car for us with a local rental company which was waiting for us at the airport; the car was excellent and served us well travelling across the island; we were also guided to the villa from the airport and even taken to a supermarket to get a few groceries. We were met at the villa by Alexis and given the tour of our home for the coming week; the property was immaculate and maintained to a high standard. It made for a very comfortable and fabulous stay, all the windows and doors have protection on them against mosquitoes although they were not a problem on our visit and the villa has excellent air-conditioning when needed. We received an excellent welcome drink of cherry liqueur which was made by Alexis’ wife and a welcome basket of tea, coffee, eggs, bread, butter, homemade marmalade and honey which again was excellent; of course olive oil too of which the island is famous and Alexis is very proud of his own product which again was wonderful. Alexis was a great help when trying to decide where to visit; he was able to assist with route planning, restaurant choices and places of interest. Some of the particular ones of interest for us were the Olive Press Museum at Pappados which was fascinating and well worth the visit, the natural History Museum at Sigri showing some of the volcanic history of the island and the petrified trees, Ipsilou Monastery, Liminos Monastery the towns of Petra and Molyvos to name but a few. There is Wi-Fi connection for those who cannot be away from their laptop and cable television, which we managed to find a few English speaking programs on after the last of the suns’ rays had disappeared. At the end of the property there is a small private beach area with sun loungers for any guests to soak up the sunshine or even go for a swim in the Gulf of Geras. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and we will most certainly be returning.

Erholung pur in wunderschöner lÀndlicher Lage

Wir haben 2 wunderbar erholsame Wochen mit Blick auf's Meer in Alexis Olivenhain verbracht. Das Steinhaus mit Terrasse (55mÂČ) war fĂŒr unsere WĂŒnsche (Ruhe, Natur, Wanderungen) hervorragend geeignet und bot uns als Paar ausreichend Platz. Die auf der Homepage gezeigten Fotos entsprechen in allen Belangen der Wirklichkeit. Die HĂ€user und das gesamte GelĂ€nde sind in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. Alexis hat uns mit tollen Tipps fĂŒr Touren und SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten versorgt und uns immer wieder mit Leckereien ĂŒberrascht (selbstgebackener Kuchen, Feta-Quiche). Bei unserer Ankunft war der KĂŒhlschrank bereits mit Lebensmitteln gefĂŒllt (Brot, Milch, Marmelade, Honig, Obst) so dass ein Einkauf fĂŒr den ersten Tag nicht mehr notwendig war. Alexis und seine Frau Katarina schaffen durch ihre wunderbar herzliche Art eine nahezu familiĂ€re AtmosphĂ€re. FĂŒr Unternehmungen aller Art ist ein Mietwagen unbedingt erforderlich, weil die Location abgelegen liegt. Die Hauptstadt Mytillini mit ihren vielen kleinen lohnenswerten Tavernen ist in ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Trotz der abgeschiedenen Lage ist man mit dem Auto in ca. 1 Stunde an der SĂŒd- oder NordkĂŒste, wo herrliche Wanderungen warten. Die Straße, die am Olivenhain vorbeifĂŒhrt ist eine Nebenstraße und wurde wĂ€hrend unseres Aufenthaltes nur sehr selten befahren. Wir werden die Unterkunft allen unseren Freunden empfehlen, die eine Ă€hnliche Art von Urlaub machen möchten. Ein kleines Paradies!!

We stayed here for twelve days and were very happy with everything. The information was accurate. The local car rental company that Alexis set us up with waited us at the airport and guided us to the house. Maintenance and service were more than OK. I guess this is probably not the place for party-going 20-year old singles or kids who want to try a different toy every day but this is an ideal holiday site if the main thing you want is to swim a few times a day in calm, wonderfully warm waters at a stone throw from your house; stay at a beach where you are mostly on your own with your wifi connection and have a choice between shade-protected and sun-exposed sections; cook your own simple meals from whatever you find in local shops and markets; and have spacious accommodation with good air-co and fine protection from mosquitoes. Alexis was very helpful and his recommendations re restaurants, sightseeing and other beaches on the island were always spot on. We will definitely want to return.

Beautiful, sincere and relaxing holiday getaway

My family, consisting of my husband, my 1 year old son and 6 years old daughter and me, just spent two weeks in one of the small villas in Alexis' olive groove. And it was everything that we had hoped for and more. The surroundings are beautiful and we were met with great hospitality from both Alexis, his family as well as some of the other guests. There is such a nice and relaxing atmosphere and plenty of space for both playing and taking daily siestas in one of the hammocks, right by the sea. Each villa has its own private space, elegantly created with olive trees, other fruit trees and herbs. The groove is situated in a calm and idyllic part of Lesvos, where you get a sense of the local life. And Alexis and his wife are the most friendly and helpful people, you can imagine. I can warmly recommend their place.

Nur zu empfehlen

Ein perfekt harmonischer Aufenthalt. Schon bei der Buchung wurden alle unsere Frage prompt beantwortet und Hilfestellung (z.b Mietauto, Abholung USW) geleistet. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet, mit liebevollen Details. Der KĂŒhlschrank war gefĂŒllt mit regionalen Produkten ( Olivenöl, Honig, Marmelade... ) wir genossen einen sehr freundlichen Empfang durch den Hausherren Alexis und er hat uns ĂŒber die Insel ausgiebig informiert. Auch ĂŒber die Geschichte der Insel und das Leben hier hat er uns viel erzĂ€hlt. Die Anlage ist sehr ruhig und sauber. Ebenso da Haus. RegelmĂ€ĂŸig frische HandtĂŒcher und BettwĂ€sche und vieles mehr, gehören zum außergewöhnlichen Service dieses Hauses. Mit kleinen Leckereien wurden wir immer wieder verwöhnt. Am hauseigener Strand (Kies) waren wir fast alleine. Es war der richtige Mix zwischen Betreuung und Ruhe. Danke alexis
