We enjoyed our stay, for the most part, at this cute, renovated schoolhouse. The building is located in a quiet area. There is an outdoor table that could seat approx. 6 people, I believe--very peaceful. Location is short drive to Mackinaw City to catch the ferry. We liked being away from the hustle & bustle. Drawbacks were coffee grounds left from previous occupants, lack of coffee cups (and difficulty reaching on-site property manager about this), lack of room-darkening shades/blinds, no wine glasses (for an area surrounded by wineries, we thought that was odd), bare minimum utensils & place settings & the beds were not very comfortable for two people sharing. On a positive note, the owner was pretty quick to respond to messages. She addressed many of the above-mentioned concerns, stating that orders had been placed for these items but hadn't arrived yet. Cleaning issues were thought to be due to previous cleaning company they no longer use. Overall, we were happy with the stay, but thought perhaps they shouldn't have begun renting the suite until it was really fully prepared. I would stay here again if issues were addressed.
njoyed some wine one evening. Very peaceful.
