I have stayed at multiple B&B's and by far this was the nicest! The family that runs it are so down to earth and treat you like family. Breakfast was amazing, I'm not sure what the chef does that's so special, but definitely one of the best omelets we have ever had!
Definitely give this place a try, it's within walking distance to restaurants, and there's a historic cemetery on the way that you can stroll through and see Stonewall Jacksons burial site and monument.
And don't forget the sunset over the mountains from the balcony <3
Thank you for a great stay! The Abigail Inn is essentially a bed-and-breakfast. It is in a wonderful location for those who are visiting Lexington, Virginia, Washington and Lee University, or Virginia Military Institute. The included breakfast was honestly one of the best breakfasts of my life!
service is amazing. very kind. house in great location for W&L or VMI. Bed was very comfortable. it is an old house, so you hear all movement. but i guess that is normal for bed/breakfast. nice that room didnt have tv.
Nice homey environment in a quaint village. Convenient for visits to local colleges. Many lovely amenities at the inn. Great breakfast. Very accommodating and welcoming of our two small dogs!
The property has a unique history and is well decorated in local historical artifacts. Itâs convenient to VMI, W&L and downtown Lexington. Have no hesitation when considering an Abigal Inn reservation.
Property is immaculately clean and innkeepers were friendly, hospitable and lovely. Only drawback for me was I thought the room was very cold and there are no individual thermostats in the guest rooms. My husband and I brought our 2 little yorkies with us and we went to CVS to buy a heating pad for them. I slept with my jacket on and my head under the covers.
Thierry and Jessica were excellent hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower was great. Delicious breakfast! Location was perfect for walking downtown for dinner. Will definitely stay there again when we are in Lexington.
Wonderful place to stay in Lexington,Va. Owners are very personable and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Walkable to downtown Lexington and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. Highly recommend!!
Quiet, lovely inn with very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was generous and well presented! Hosts were responsive and friendly. Only surprise was that Expedia listed the room as accommodating three people at a certain price and I learned upon arrival that the twin cot being added was an additional cost. Typically if a room with a queen can accommodate more than two people, thereâs a sofabed involved and the cost is the cost. That said, we were very happy with our stay and hope to return!
