I stayed in room 229 and it wasn't very nice. It had a broke lock on he door, stained up carpets, and some stains on the wall. I didn't ask the property to switch rooms or anything though, I just checked out. I like the location of the hotel itself but not the hotel in general. The continental breakfast wasn't very good. I also didn't like the transit stop at the back of the hotel bringing random people in there. It's convenient for those who don't have transportation but we were all there on our own.

The folks at Check in were very polite and friendly. The fountain looks a bit dated. Room was adequate. The breakfast was acceptable. It served a place to sleep for the night. Convenient for visiting Buffalo Trace Distillery. No major complaints.

Nice Hotel Short Walk To The Grand Theatre

We stayed at the Capital plaza hotel in Frankfort to see Marty Stuart at the Grand Theatre. This hotel is a short walk over to the theatre with lots of great food and beverage choices. The hotel room was nice and the receptionist was very nice at our check-in. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Frankfort.

Rooms are old, carpet was sticky like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. The walls had holes in them. One of the outlets had an electrical prong broke off in it. For 106$ you knew it wasn’t going to be anything exceptional but could’ve been a touch better

My bathroom sink was plugged the whole time The vending machines on my floor were empty My room neighbors came home intoxicated and vomitted down the hallway and into their room and it was never cleaned all weekend long.

Rooms are clean, breakfast is great. 5 minute walk to downtown nightlife. My only complaint is that our beds felt worn out. It’s time to replace those mattresses. I’d stay again though.

Service from time of arrival to departure was superb. Im recovering from hip surgery and the person o night duty allowed us to park there the entire time of our stay. I am on a walker and the trek from the garage would have been excruciating. i loved the warerfall--beautiful and soothing. The bed may have been the most comfortable we have ever had. fallwhich ran continuously and wasnsoothing and beautiful.

Signs posting renovation coming in 2026, desperately needed. Rooms are very dated, poor lighting, few outlets and no USB ports for charging devices. Not a fan of walking through transit area to get to parking garage either. However, staff was friendly and service was excellent!!

Great choice for visiting the area.

Hotel Review: Disappointing and Unsafe Experience Avoid this hotel at all costs. Despite being advertised as a 3-star property, it falls far short of expectations. We arrived after dark to a neglected neighborhood surrounded by vacant buildings and homeless individuals on the hotel steps, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Check-in was inconvenient, requiring us to return to our car and navigate to a dimly lit parking structure in the back, which felt unsafe. The property itself is outdated and poorly maintained. Our first room had a non-functioning toilet, forcing us to switch. The second room was no better, with multiple burnt-out lights and bedding that was worn and past its useful life. I strongly recommend choosing a boutique hotel or a newer property closer to the highway. The misleading reviews on Expedia added to our disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere.
