Checked in on June 21st and checked out just a few hours later after discovering BEDBUGS in our room. When I notified the staff, I was told there were no other rooms available! I had to find another hotel. They provided garbage bags for our belongings and contact information for the GM, who could only be reached on Monday since it was the weekend. While the staff on duty were kind, the manager completely ignored repeated communication from both me and Expedia booking site. When someone finally responded, they claimed I never informed them I was checking out early—despite the fact that I reported bedbugs. Why would anyone stay after that? Thankfully, when checking out I requested a checkout receipt, which showed same-day check-in and check-out! I provided photo evidence of the infestation. The refund was only approved after we escalated this issue and I provided receipts/pictures! I understand that these things can happen when traveling, but the situation could’ve been handled far more professionally. I won’t book here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The Worst Marriott Property in 35 Years of Travel

Hotel was in terrible shape. Room was musty and damp. No microwave in the room. Room phone didn’t work. Upholstered chair was stained, crusty and nasty. Shower curtain rod was extremely rusted. They said they couldn’t credit my Marriott rewards account for the stay because we booked through hotels.com. They said they couldn’t do anything about the room other than to move us (at 8:00 pm???? No way) because we’d booked through hotels.com.

One complaint but it's a big one: when the power went our for about 18 hours, including overnight, there were no lights in the stairwell. Power outage was not their fault, but I can't imagine (and my firefighter husband agrees) that this is not a major code violation. It was so dark you couldn't see your feet. "Use your phone" they say. Only I had no power to charge my phone. A dangerous situation and the gal at the desk was dismissive about it.

The beds were comfortable. The room was small for 4 people, even just for an overnight. The breakfast was well stocked and offered a good variety. The bathroom had broken tile and black markings resembling mold. As I went to checkout, my husband used the bathroom in the lobby. The wallpaper was half off next to the toilet. There were several dead roaches in the hallway. Did not see any in the rooms or food area.

The Entry Way carpet and couch were stained, very unappealing! Elevator was SCARY! made ominous noises, would drop down a few inches and make a thud. VERY SCARY! Appearance of facility just said minimum cleaning effort. Our room AC unit was noisy and seemed like it was going to stop working at times.

Room was worth the price. The gym was not well ventilated or cooled. The pool seemed overly chlorinated. It was too hot in that room and the chemicals hurt your eyes to even be in there.
