Relaxing, very well equipped with nice cookware, dishes and etc. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towel, and more. Very easy to communicate with host which is super. Overall would definitely stay again.
We loved staying at this property! It was the perfect home to have a two day getaway near Lexington and Croswell. A true country feel. The home is very well maintained and clean. The beds were all super comfortable as well! We saw many deer during our stay there! The host was very friendly and communicative which was appreciated! We will be back!
The home is adorable, very functional and cozy! The beds were very comfortable. Michael responded right away to all our questions. We loved having our girls weekend here. It was very close to downtown and the beach.
This property has become a fairly regular escape for me and my wife. The property is well maintained and very secluded. All issues brought to the owners attention are addressed quickly. Plenty of deer, turkeys and other wildlife make this a great spot within a stones throw of Lake Huron.
Great cabin in nature, yet 10 minutes from Lexington Beach. We saw deer, wild turkeys and lots of different birds. The cabin is stocked with everything that you will need for your stay. Hopefully we will be back next year. Lexington has many excellent food choices and lots of places to get ice cream.
Michael, our host, was a treat to work with and very communicative/responsive! He was flexible with our check-in, and the house was exactly as pictured! Our group of friends LOVED that all of the beds were in one giant bedroom because we could enjoy the evenings together in comfort! Also, the kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery and pots, and there were even a few condiments like olive oil and pancake syrup! The fire pit and seating were wonderful (although please be aware that the lounge chairs were quite flimsy for curvier individuals like myself-- I carried over an outdoor dining chair that was much sturdier and more comfortable!). Our only minor complaint is that the water smelled and tasted a touch fishy. We were assured by Michael that the property had a new well with good water, but you may want to bring a filter pitcher if you are sensitive to how water tastes. Michael kindly included easy-to-understand, laminated instructions on checking out of the property at the end of our stay, and he also graciously had a list of local attractions and restaurant reccommendations (this was very helpful for our group that had never been to the east side of the state)! The property is extremely quiet and tranquil, and the neighbors are considerably distanced, so your group will not disturbed. The location is also a five-minute drive to Lexington, and there are some great locations for beachtown food like Scoops Ice Cream Parlor and 3 North Lexington Tavern House! Stellar stay! :)
I do not intend for this review to be public.
It was a very good experience. Nice home. I tried to send messages to the owner but was unsuccessful. I think it was a VRBO glitch.
Michael is a great communicator! The property and home are beautiful, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The property is 20 acres that butts up to the woods however is fenced and gated, so you feel safe. There is an abundance of wildlife! The bed and pillow were very nice Tempur-Pedic style, which I really like. You feel like you are at a faraway place but are literally only minutes from the village. The village has everything you need including some great restaurants and Port Huron, which is only 15-20 minutes away, has all you would typically find in a larger city. This home is new, cozy and well appointed. You will not be disappointed. They have another VRBO, even closer to town, that I am staying at now, which is equally wonderful. The Sheridan's are great hosts!
We have now stayed at this property 3 times this past year, and this is thanks to the well-maintained condition of the property, the unique setting amidst woods, fields and many acres of land, and the secluded nature of the property as well. In short, it's a great set-up and an easy getaway. We'll be back! The owner is cordial and helpful, and you just can't beat the space
This was our 2nd time staying at this property. It is very spacious, clean and well equipped . We especially loved the wild life we saw in the backyard...many deer and a whole family of turkeys! One day a little hummingbird even came to visit.
Family of 8 stayed for a family bounding trip. We enjoyed the Farmers market in Croswell & Lexington. Both small towns have so much going on, such as concerts in the park, classic car cruise, the harbor, the swing bridge. This super clean and fully stocked house is so close to everything and perfect. Everything you need is there. We will definitely be back!
Truly canât beat this location. Five minutes to downtown Lexington, but quiet/scenic and away from any tourist crowds. The cabin was SO clean, with all the amenities you would need. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and it worked great for us. We loved seeing the wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets through the large picture windows. Host Mike was communicative, professional, and friendly. Highly recommend booking here!
Me and my friends had my bachelorette weekend here and had a great time. Clean and comfortable! The little black cat roaming around the house was a big hit as well, a total sweetheart! Secluded but still close to everything!
My husband and I brought our dog for a quick weekend trip to hang out on the water and celebrate our 1 year anniversary.
Weather wasnât great which was a bummer but we made the best out of it and wandered downtown and to Lakeport state park for a few hours when the sun was out! Went to bunnyâs custard and ventured to Fort Gratiot for a few hours as well.
This rental was beautiful inside and out! Beautiful wood furnishings and all new appliances. Also really appreciated the Keurig with cups for my morning coffee obsessed self lol. So roomy, and comfortable it was a 10/10 experience. Would definitely consider staying again with some friends/family and hopefully get to hang outside when the weather is promising! Bonfire pit looked great!
Only thing I would recommend that I saw others post as well, is to add some fixtures or tint to the window as there were not any in the bathroom and bedroom.
