What a fun property!! There is room for all. Lots of eating spaces too. We loved eating on the wonderfully lighted back porch. The kitchen is amazingly stocked. We appreciated all the towels provided. Plenty to shower with and dry off from all the water play. We brought must of our own toys to play with in the water but they also provided fun.
Liberty Lodge was a beautiful place to stay for our family of 13. The bedrooms were great though a couple a the mattresses were too firm for some (we padded with extra quilts.). The beach is far down the hill, 94 stairs from the top level of the house. But that didnât deter my familyâŠthey carried three additional Kayaks and 2 SUPs down to the water, no problem. Although there is no beach, the deck is large with plenty of space for everyone. Our family was on the water most of the time, paddling down the lake, and even went out for stargazing. Some of us went on walks and little hikes to the wetland. Plenty of waterfowl viewing, and many many birds. We enjoyed learning that the house two doors up is located where there was a speakeasy in the 1920s (look up Stonehouse Park in the Liberty Lake Splash archive). The kitchen is well equipped, though we brought our own blender. We loved having so many bathrooms. Very nice home.
This is a great property - plenty of room for sleeping and the kitchen is well equipped. Our family had a great time swimming, fishing and enjoying games. Loved the canoe and row boat supplied by the host. Will definitely look to stay here again. Lots of stairs in the house and down to the lake so be aware of this if anyone has mobility issues.
This house was a joy and provided the comforts of home away from home. I've never stayed in a rental that was so well stocked, in the kitchen and bedding. Our stay was 10 days and we found it a bit difficult to store our clothes without closet space in the rooms nor many dresser drawers. Thankfully there was over-the-door hanging options available. Both patios were delightful to enjoy conversation and meals. I enjoyed the upgraded kitchen appliances; worked beautifully. The one negative was the lack of multi-surface cleaner for cleaning counters and tables. We kept forgetting to buy some at the stores, which were close by. We did mention that one glass door was missing in the upstairs master bath. The users continued to place towels on the floor since the water got all over. We did mention this to the management who said the door was ordered but not received yet. Overall, the home was a great place for our multi family stay! Thanks
We had 16 people stay for 1 week. The house was perfect for our kids, grandkids and us. The bedrooms were spacious and everybody had a room. The kids bunk beds worked out great for the grandkids- Girls in one bunk room and boys in the other. The kitchen was well stocked for our meals. The dock and lake were perfect for the kids to swim. It is a number of steps to the lake, but it works. We could sit by the lake in the shade, while the kids swam in the lake. A hiking trail is close by. We were very happy with the house and would book it again
Our friends group chose this house for our annual family trip and it was one of the best houses we've stayed in over the past 10 years.
PROS
The lake was tons of fun and the kids had a blast in the water. It's nice to have a private dock. There's a boat and a canoe that we were able to use.
The kitchen is large with nice, new appliances and well stocked with everything we needed.
The house was pretty clean and free of clutter.
There are two outdoor decks with beautiful views of the lake and wildlife.
The house was comfortable for up to 20 people. Lots of room and options for families to spread out.
TIPS
This is not a 7 bedroom house. The 4 bed bunk ("megabunk") is in a common space. From the photos it looked like it was in a loft, but it's not. It has no privacy and you have to walk through it to get to the stairs that lead to the lake.
There are a LOT of stairs. If anyone in your group has mobility challenges, they may not be able to enjoy the lake.
There's a lot of vegetation in the water at this end of the lake. Not a problem, just be aware.
There's no beach. The lake goes right up to the shoreline.
Bring ropes for your floaties. The current likes to push everything south.
The house is only 10 minutes away from grocery stores.
There are four window A/C units. One in each of the two rooms upstairs, two on the main kitchen/living room level, and none downstairs. The 3 bedrooms (+ bunk space) downstairs can get warm. Bring a portable unit to cool down this level.
A great time was had by all of our family. A lot of stairs for a couple of 70 year olds. But the kids didnât mind at all. Theyâre young. Of course we rented Jet Skis for a couple of days and my son in law drove from Portland. They brought a couple of Kayaks. The lake was fantastic & very private. Thank you.
Itâs quite a way down to the dock but it had stairs all of the way down. It was big enough for our big family and it had enough room for us to spread out. The window ac units and fans kept the house cool enough. The house could have been a little cleaner and there was evidence of mice, to be expected in the country. All in all everyone enjoyed themselves.
family vacation- it was the perfect place for our family!
We loved the property- the access to the lake was our favorite part of the house. It was fun to have a private dock and access to the water. The house had enough rooms for all our family and plenty of outdoor places to gather. It was a super fun place to gather for our vacation! We also loved the access to hiking.
We have stayed in this property several years in a row for Spokane's Lilac Bloomsday Race. Our family loves the immense variety of things to enjoy both in and around the house. We may have overloaded the WiFi capacity. Internet was quite slow. We needed a little flexibility on check out time to watch a family funeral. Property management was totally inflexible which for a $4000 rental seemed unreasonable. It's too bad that an otherwise great stay had an unpleasant end. Part of the family had to leave early and find a local meeting room where we could participate in the service.
Was a wonderful place to hang out with several generations of family members. Loved the views of the lake and all the different bedrooms. Fantastic master suite. The bunk beds were very fun for the kids. Thank you for sharing your house with us and making our daughters wedding weekend very special
This property exceeded our expectations and the photos do not do it justice. We had 10 adults and 10 children. It was a delightful and amazing time for all of us. Plenty of comfortable beds. Truly a great property for families. We would most definitely secure this place again.
We loved our time at this property. This was the first time for our family of five adult children and their families to have time together under one roof, and it was a success!
The house could have been cleaner, not due to the cleaning crew that cleaned before our arrival but a deeper cleaning. The windows and ceilings had many spider/web clusters in many of the rooms. But looking past that, the house was perfect and comfortable for our large family. We all got a good leg workout with all the stairs in the house and down to the lake, but no complaint there, it was good for us.
We did enjoy our family time at this property. Swimming and boating were popular activities with all ages. It was a little hard to fine--especially at night and seemed a bit expensive at over $8000 for less than a week. Overall, a great time.
We went with our family that included 9 adults and three small children for a week. It was in a nice private location with easy access to the lake (down lots of stairs). The kitchen was amazing and easily the best part of the house. It is stocked with everything you could want or need appliance and gadget-wise. The gathering space was a little squishy for this many people but we made it work with camp chairs. We did have an issue with bedding that appeared to not have been washed prior to our arrival in one of the bedrooms. The listing says air conditioning and we thought that would be central air, but it turns out there are cooking units in some of the windows. The bottom floor bedrooms were very hot at night and we couldnât open the windows because of the smoke from fires that was blowing in. Someone else had suggested bringing fans and we did this and it helped a bit. Central air would make this property perfect. All in all we had a great week at this home.
