Pool was dated. Hotel room average. Construction started after arrival. Jack hammers, hallways closed, power tools. Etc. remodeling and NO ONE SAID ANYTHING PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. VERY DISAPPOINTED ! We stayed in VRBO and owners were very responsive. Beach was beautiful but not meant for swimming.
Such a great experience at Outrigger Kauaâi Beach. The host, Crystal, was so nice. She was great with directions and always responded promptly. The faculty has great pools, friendly pool bar service. The pools were never crowded.
We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. It was conveniently located a few miles from the airport and easy access to all parts of the island. Our host Crystal was very prompt and responsive to our requests and needs. Our only suggestion would be to update the safe as it did not work and the TV was outdated and did not allow for us to view beyond a few basic cable channels.
Room was nice view from balcony is of a roof drain. Informed owner or a few broken things off the bat so I wouldnât be blamed. A few days in beeping started in the icemaker room below our room had something start beeping. Told front desk first then after a day told owner. Then repeated told her when it would start and stop as a nurse the beeping drove me crazy. Then we started getting notices of construction and power/water outages possible. The owner said someone sat outside my room for a âprolonged periodâ and there was only the noise from the elevator. I recorded the beepjng multiple times as I knew the owners based out of Arizona but the app wouldnât let me send. She never provided me an email to send them and just stopped responding. My friend had multiple problems with her AC and her whole door jam fell offPros. Smack in the middle of everything 30-40 to poipu (turtles) and monk seals, 30-40 to PrincevilleCons Owner response to issues.you cannot do resort activities like lei making or classes. Laundry roomis closed. Beach is not swim able this time of year itâs dangerous. On site food is ok not much for gluten free, breakfast buffet is 35 pp and had nothing extravagant.
My Husband and I had a nice time staying at this resort it was clean and relaxing. The parking was more then what was advertised so that needs to be updated by the host
First hotel I have been to where they didnt take out the trash. The VRBO owner e-mail us after cancelation date stating there is a room cleaning fee each day. Towel exchange fee and parking fee was more than advertised. Expected added fees that are not identifed up front.
The property is beautiful, especially the 4 pools and beachfront. Unfortunately, the Starbucks espresso machine was down for over a week so you could only buy regular coffee. There are no shops or restaurants close by you can walk to so you have to drive. But that's just how it is on Kauai. Well worth it.
Very nice ocean views and the property was well taken care of. (1) It would have been nice to have an ice machine that worked on each floor. Often the one ice machine, in the far away building, didn't work. (2) No need for GUEST parking to be charged so much. Should be free.
Clean room. Bed was very comfortable. Nice hot shower with great water pressure. The only thing we noticed was the parking fee was not what was listed on the vrbo site.
Very clean and convenient condotel. Just like a hotel room but has a refrigerator and freezer and coffee maker and balcony. Within a hotel-like resort with 3 restaurants and 3 pools, one with a water slide. 1 open for breakfast, 1 for lunch, and 2 open for dinner. We took advantage of all the happy hours, all the food and drinks are overpriced but it usually is at hotels and resorts. But the food was good, No complaints. Walls are thin, nothing you can do about that just an FYI
We stayed via Vrbo and the Vrbo owner/manager was wonderful as was the room. The pools and beach are wonderful, we had a long wait time to get our food and check at both restaurants. Also we had to wait 10-15 min to check in and out at the front desk. It appeared the check in process was extensive for some guests. These waiting periods were not a reflection on the Vrbo experience.
Our host, Crystal, was amazing. Quick & constant communication to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of at all times. I highly recommend booking with her again!
Couldnât have asked for a better resort. The property had all of the amenities we were looking for. Enjoyed the poolside bar on the waterslide! The room was clean and ready when we got here. Absolutely no complaints. Contacting crystal , the owner , was not a problem at all. She was quick to respond and had answers for all of my questions. It felt like I was contacting a friend. Would definitely stay here againâ€ïžâïž
The Kauai Beach Resort is tired and needs some freshening up. This is also reflective of the VRBO room we stayed in. Our first impression was negative. This is not the owners fault but it does impact our impression of our stay. We checked in at 4:45 (4:00 check in) and were told the room was not clean and they couldnât do anything about it. Then the desk clerk continued to give me the list of things they couldnât do if something went wrong. I contacted the owner and it turned out the front desk had wrong information and the room was ready.
Our view was not of the lagoon but of the roof and a sliver of the lagoon. The bed, pillows and linens were good. There was no coffee as described but more soap and shampoo than expected. The shower head needs to be replaced. It is more of a faucet than spray. The A/C worked until 8 a.m. the morning we left. It completely went off and didnât come back on. We did have fresh towels half way through our week stay which was nice. The beach towels are pretty worn. The last thing that got me was having to take our trash out the front door of the resort to the dumpster behind the resort. Unless I missed that I didnât see it as part of the instructions until we got there. We have not stayed in an VRBO that asked us to do that. We have gathered trash but not taken to the dumpster. Seems we paid a cleaning fee that should accommodate taking the trash out at the end of a stay.
The room is a hotel room with a tub/shower combination. The lanai has no real view. They call this a beach resort where there is no beach, only rocks. No towel service. Happy hour has 2 wines, that is it. Two glasses of wine, 2 appetizers $72. Take out your own trash. Not much of a vacation. Look elsewhere.
Very secluded resort. Golf course on north side of resort and a quiet park on south side. Even though not far from LIH airport...still quiet and relaxing. Staff great.
