We enjoyed our stay at Surftides. The room was nicely remodeled and very clean. All the staff that we encountered during our stay were friendly and helpful. The only down side was the restaurant, Mist, was closed during a couple different times when we wanted to go to it. We were able to go the first night we were there and really enjoyed the food and service. The next day they were closed most of the day but we were told they would be open the next day. When we went the next day in the late morning they still weren't open. It was a bit of an inconvenience but the front desk person was very apologetic about the situation. Overall I would definitely recommend Surftides!!

The room we got had a nice balcony view of the ocean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I want to stay here again to take advantage of their other amenities, they had fireputs and a swim room and a lounge, our trip was too short to enjoy those this time but we will likely be back.

Costs have gone up substantially

It's been a few years since we've been able to take a couple nights to go to the coast. Prices for rooms and local food are now astronomical for what you get. It's no longer justifiably affordable (for us) to stay overnight at the coast.

The bed was not very comfortable, wi-fi is pretty bad as in the whole city. We like that this hotel is right on the beach and very easy to get to the beach from the hotel.

Wonderful Girls trip!

We did our annual highschool girlfriend trip here and it was so wonderful! We enjoyed the adult only swimming from 9-11 pm and the fire pits too. We caught a free shuttle from there to the casino for a fun live music event! It's such a great option! The balcony views are amazing. You can't get any closer to the beach!

Our room slept 4 and that's how many people we had but they only provided enough towels for 3 people and it was very difficult to get more even after multiple requests. The pool had a scum ring and algae growing and there was only one floor where the ice machine was working and had ice

Staff was nice, and it's a great location with beach access and beautiful views. But there is no AC, which I'm sure isn't usually a problem, but this was a warm weekend. We couldn't have the balcony door open because the screen door fell right off. And there seemed to be sand everywhere. I felt it on the beds and the big chair. I stayed here many years ago, and I enjoyed it then. But this time, I'm glad it was only one night, as the room was uncomfortably warm, I couldn't wait to get out. I would consider it again if the rooms are updated with adequate central air or screen doors.

Like a lot of hotels on beautiful Oregon coast, this one is sure showing her age. Needs major overhaul / updating. Bed is less than desirable, balcony chairs were broken. For the price (they charge a lot because they can) i think it's fair to expect better.
