Stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful and tucked back in the woods. The dirt road feel driving out to it was a little unexpected, but I may have just missed that in the description. Not sure if we would have swam or not but it would have been nice to know prior to booking that the pool would be covered for the season. Totally understand it being the beginning of October. Communication with host was good, house was very clean and inviting. Layout of the home is a little odd with kitchen and living room being on different floors, but it still worked for us.
This home was so nice, clean, roomy. There were 6 of us, the bedrooms were comfortable size, the beds cozy. The kitchen was great to hang out in the morning and we enjoyed lounging in the family room with the big moose watching over! The house is secluded with beautiful, peaceful country scenery. We sat out one evening and had several deer show up. It was a great location for our girls winery tour weekend.
Great house and property. Just beautiful and spacious for our girls trip. Thank you for opening your property to us. Loved the lodge feel. One suggestion is replace the pool stairs. We ranged in age from 30-60 and found it difficult to get in and out!!
We pulled up to the cabin and immediately felt a sense of peace and quiet. The pool is a wonderful commodity and being surrounded by nothing but nature was incredibly relaxing.
Such a big clean property
Everything is well within your reach, but, you feel so far away from everyone.
The pool was awesome and clean too. We will be back.
We came to Jefferson City for a family wedding. A couple of months ago we were trying to find hotel rooms but everything was booked. I just happened upon this listing on vrbo and once we arrived at the property, I was so thankful that all hotel rooms were booked. It was wonderful to sit on the deck early morning and near dusk to watch all the wildlife. We will definitely be back!
Every fall we do a long golf weekend, somewhere. We always do a VRBO and of all the places we have used all of us loved this place the most. Everyone wants to go back, which has never happened before and it wasn't for the golf. My favorite part was the amount of food storage in the kitchen, since everyone brings their own food. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and loved the amenities. With three tables you could eat on one, do a puzzle on another and play cards or a board games on another. I loved eating breakfast on the deck listening to the nearby cows and roosters. It was too cold to swim, so I want to return in the summer and enjoy that.
Stephanie was a FABULOUS host! This home is beautiful and a great opportunity to be a few minutes away from Linn but feel like you are farther away in the country. A wonderful place to relax. The beds were super comfy, there was plenty of room to spread out, and it was SO CLEAN!! Our family has already asked when we can come back.
Excellent country house. Loved the property. Beautiful home. Clean pool. It was a bit odd to have the kitchen and dining area upstairs and the main living room downstairs, but it works. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and our 5 Munchkins had to go by themselves this year unfortunately as I'd just been released from the hospital! Everyone was thrilled with the house, pool and the MOOSE! Especially the 4 year old!
The point of our trip was a week far enough away from everything to just enjoy each otherâs company without the interruptions of life on our farm â Stephanieâs property fit the bill perfectly!!
Walmart was a 20-25 minute (easy) drive away to buy groceries for the week. We got pizza at the local Caseyâs (5min drive) one night and the people were friendly and pizza was good.
The house itself was very clean and had everything youâd need to spend the week there without having to leave. The kitchen had all sorts of pots and pans, bowls, utensils, etc. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. Beds & living room furniture were comfy. TV is huge. The pool was also clean and enjoyable the entire week!
The setting of the house was very secluded, no other houses in sight, but not remote. As soon as you get to the end of the driveway, youâll find houses nearby.
Ben Branch Lake is a 10-mile/20-minute drive and I would highly recommend it if you wanted to do a little fishing.
Overall, I would recommend Stephanieâs house to anyone wanting a low key, relaxing getaway. Our family will definitely be back!
