VERY SMALL. MINI ROOM

Hotel is in nice area. Close to station to catch Sintra train or metro. The major problem was the size of the room and size of the bed. We had two carry on bags and the room is so small to even put them out of the way. The bed was supposed to be double but at best it was a smaller than the full size bed. I understand that hotel rooms are typically smaller in Europe than the US, but this is probably the smallest room and bed that I have ever been too. Not worth the price. Just to give you an idea of how small the room is, the distance between the bed and the table against the wall, you have to walk sideways to get from one side of the bed to the other side. Oh, BTW, the bathroom was also so small that you have to be careful to not to hit your knee against the bidet as you sit on the toilet.

Highly recommended

We were very satisfied with our stay in Holiday Inn Continental. We arrived from our flight before check-in time and were able to check into our rooms early. We were well located -- walking distance to train station and bus stops, and taxis were always available out front. My daughter loved the deep bathtubs and very hot water. The restaurant featured good traditional Portuguese food --fun buffet -- and restaurants, grocery stores and a mall were nearby. During the Iberian power outage, we were unable to use credit cards anywhere, but generators kept elevators and kitchen running and lobby lit, although rooms were dark. When we returned from Barcelona for two nights after a much delayed flight, we got in easily though it was well after midnight. Staff was courteous and helpful-- spoke good English. Laundry service was too expensive to use, though.

I liked everything about this property. I made the right choice. The property was clean and well kept. The staff was very polite and helpful regardless of the language barrier. The food was great and the location was perfect. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. I would love to stay there again.

The property was very clean and maintained well. Catching a taxi was very easy right outside the hotel. It wasn’t a very walkable location but there were a few restaurants around. It’s a great location for our layover in Lisbon.
