The hotel has a lovely pool area and the onsite restaurants are incredible!! Great food and some are highly recommended as top meals in Lisbon. I will say, the area is quieter than Chiado/Alfama and some of the neighborhoods to the south, but it’s very safe and has nice luxury shopping nearby. Also, the bathroom for a private room with a balcony, was quite tiny. Overall, highly recommend and would stay again!

The people that work at check-in and coffee shop are amazing! Very nice and helpful and will go above and beyond for you. Why 4 stars, I stayed a week and got a « refresher » mid week. They never showed up. Once I advised the staff they came but simply made my bed, did not remove and replace towels and did not clean the little bit of sand that made it to the floor. For a 4 star hotel that’s unacceptable. Also, they overcharge for basics like water and the only place in Portugal asking for tips at restaurants. You would hope that out of all places your hotel would be a bit more thoughtful!

Nice place for younger people if you don’t need daily towel change and room cleaning. The property is beautiful but impossible to enjoy the pool (young guests reserving chairs from 7am and keeping them all day). They also need to clean their windows! Morning buffet was ok. Well located.

The hotel has a great vibe with a beautifully designed lobby that smells amazing. The bar serves excellent drinks, and the happy hour at the restaurant is a nice perk. Some rooms also have lovely patios, which are a bonus. However, the rooms are quite small, lack basics like a mini fridge, and are only cleaned once every 7 days. The pool area is always busy with limited seating, and the location isn’t the most walkable. It’s clearly more suited for long-term stays than short visits. Overall, a stylish spot with some nice features, but not ideal if you’re expecting full hotel service or convenience.

Great base for city breaks and more

Apartment was excellent, great amenities and very well designed/decorated. Hotel layout took a little to memorise but bars/gym/pool area were all excellent. Great for our city break but could just as easily have stayed for 2 weeks or more. The only gripe would be that the pool was a little small, and did not have enough chairs/loungers for how busy it gets. We found it very hard to get poolside unless up before 8am or after 4-5pm. Not enough to mark any less than 5 stars however, it was an excellent hotel and we highly recommend it!

Glorified hostel! No room cleaning in the whole stay had to wash our own towels which was not disclosed when booked this place. The pool area is not equipped to service the amount of guests and by 6am all 10 lounges reserved for the day by young people staying at the ‘hotel’ who treat the place like a hostel knocking on doors all night and running away! Not an ideal relaxing place to stay in Lisbon

Great location, great hotel!

Check in process was excellent and - having had our flight delayed 24 hours - the team were in touch proactively on WhatsApp to check okay. Worth (if you’re arriving by taxi) checking the arrival location as it can take you to the Santa Marta entrance which would be confusing. Hotel itself is lovely and clean, great coffee shop, tidy and clean pool area - well thought out. Would definitely stay here again it’s ideal for navigating out from: 15 min taxi from the airport (use Bolt would be my advice on our experience) Marques de Pombal metro just outside for getting into town quickly. Plenty of Bolt/Lime scooters around if you want to get in the fun way. Lots of GREAT breakfast options nearby too including Hygge Cafe. Also excellent if you want to get a taxi further afield- we went to Cascais and Carcavelos to beaches on separate days and cost €12-15 by Bolt and was sub 30 mins.

If Red Roof Inn was a Boutique Hotel Chain

Firstly, how this place has a 9.6/10 I will never understand. The early check-in doesn’t exist. We slept on the floor of the world’s smallest lobby for two hours surrounded by a sea of people in an overbooked and understaffed space. No one cared. By the time they finally allowed us to check-in at 4:11 pm, the guest services person explained to us all the services that WEREN’T included, i.e. daily housekeeping (didn’t come once), extra towels, continental breakfast, etc. At this point, I knew exactly what this was- a hostel disguised as a “boutique” hotel. The room itself was very clean, the bed was comfy and the AC was ice cold. However, the bathroom was the size of a small closet, there was zero hot water for two days, nowhere to put toiletries, a bathroom door handle that fell off several times, and whomever was in the room above us obviously was practicing their military marching. I’m not even going to mention the pool that was the size of a large bath tub, as it was too crowded with 10 people to even bother using it. All in all a letdown that I wouldn’t recommend unless Motel 6 has their no vacancy sign on.

We enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the rooms with the kitchen even if we did not cook. The staff was nice though fairly hands off. Our room was clean and cozy. Great shower. Strong AC. Good casual restaurant by the pool and a coffee bar in the lobby with very yummy pastries. We did not try the $23 Er full breakfast. Hilarious numbering system (not a problem just be ready for a brain teaser). Our fourth floor room was on flour -1 according to the elevator 😬😂. We got used to it. The courtyard was -4.
