A lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Lovely to see the peacocks wandering the land. Staff were friendly and informative about local area. Would recommend a stay.
Stayed in Badger Lodge, Very nice and all necessities provided (please note Wifi not the best - only minor point)
Also had dinner at hotel restaurant which was lovely and homely with all the peacocks roaming around outside.
Recommended !
We stayed in an delux lodge which was fantastic so big and comfortable beds everything you need for cooking and relaxing a fantastic stay The only downside is lack of Children facilities to play on and the pot holes on entrance but aprt from that cant wait to rebook
We had a Lovely stay at the Great Trethow Manor. Site is just gorgeous, building is very pretty, room was spacious, beds were very comfortable and we had a nice breakfast in the a.m. So thankful they advertise via Hotels.com or we never would have found this place!
Cottage was perfect for our needs for the weekend. Eco-friendliness given 2 stars becuse there isnt plumbed heating, only electric heaters. Staff were great and location was ideal for our weekend plans.
There are a lot of Peacocks that are very noisy starting from very early in the morning when staying in one of the lodges.
Shower water strength not very good.
Spacious and bright lodge.
Hotel very traditional, lots of stuffed, mounted animals.
Wonderful hotel and setting in the countryside. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, room was clean and fresh. Breakfast in the morning very nice. The setting is very good tranquil with peacocks roaming around and a peaceful pond to sit by. We stayed here for 1 night on Sat 27th May as we were going to see Muse in Plymouth. Would definitely recommend this for any events in Plymouth. Timâs Taxi providing our travel from hotel to Home Park and pick up after, excellent friendly service.
good place to rest for a night though overall place can do with a coming with an update
most annoying was the bathroom, really tiny with the so called shower had no pressure at all
thus almost impossible to have a shower
media e.g tv can be upgraded to more modern flat screens
tea and coffee making facilities in room need to be better no spoons or stirrers
Hotel was nice, couldn't fault the staff who were very pleasant and helpful however, the restaurant was very average and really over priced.
For the money charged I would expect the food to be home made and it is clearly frozen average pub food that they then charge ÂŁ18-20 for a main course.
Breakfast was also average and expensive! cheap sausages and everything overcooked would have been nice to see some quality local produce used. Missed opportunity
Staff are friendly and overall stay was pleasant. A few small issues but it didn't ruin the stay for me. I am mostly out and about on my holidays so not much time in the accommodation.
-Kettle handle was greasy.
-Cup and spoon had drinks residue (not thoroughly cleaned before arrival).
-Bathroom floor was dirty (visible by wiping a dry tissue over it).
-No bathroom light switch, light switches on/off of its own accord and mostly stays lit (not very eco).
-On returning to my room one night there was a water leak from floor 2 leading all the way to ground floor (could be seen as potentially hazardous).
-No running water one morning (I'm the type of person who's day doesn't start right without a morning wash), I had to use leftover water from a bottle to brush my teeth.
-No hot water for the better part of 2 whole days.
This was a lovely place to stay for peace and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food we found to be excellent. Will definitely go again if thatâs the area we go to .
