So many details were taken care of, like the Keurig coffee cups, kitchen supplies, and paper towels. Very clean home with an extremely attentive host who was easy to reach both before and during our stay. Our family would highly recommend this spectacular property, situated right on the water. The ultimate in serenity!

The cabin was very clean, well-maintained, and full of almost any supply (from spare towels to coffee creamer) that one could wish for! Dana (host) was very helpful and prompt in responding to any query, and was even able to support early entry on this occasion. The location was peaceful and right on the lake/bay shore, with great equipment options (kayaks etc.) as well as some nice visits by cormorants and deer. We were privileged to see a beautiful sunset. All in all, a terrific stay.

Beauty on the lake

Beautiful, perfectly located hideaway with kayaks, fire pit, hammock and other activities for outdoors along with board games and card games and plenty to keep everyone happy inside. Highly recommend this well-kept beauty.

Beautiful home off the beaten path in Little Sturgeon Bay. Super organized spot with all the basics provided. Owners were readily available with any questions we had. Ate at Waterfront Mary's twice. Get the chowder!

Relaxing, quiet, right on the water.

We really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I were there for a relaxing getaway for his birthday. The property was right on the water with beautiful views. The owner was very responsive and had everything you might need. The property was clean and the outside had lots of seating and a fire pit with firewood provided. Easy check in and check out. Would highly recommend!

Charming Family Cottage

We truly enjoyed our stay at Dana’s Rocky Shores Cottage! The cabin offers amazing views of the lake, ample room for our family, great amenities, and was within a short drive to town! We would definitely stay again!!

Excellent getaway

This property was excellent. Beautiful lakeviews from the house and deck/campfire right on the water. It was a little too chilly to swim when we were there, but if you don't mind getting over the rocks it would be doable. One night was very windy so I was worried it would always be windy pointing north, but there were other days with almost no wind and very calm water. Very well appointed kitchen with some hotel level basics like coffee pods, sugar, creamer, honey. Everything you need for dishwashing, laundry, starting a fire. The set up with the separate bunkhouse (with one full and one twin bed) allows for different guest configurations, either a separate couple or the kids would make sense, but there is only the main bathroom in the house which is the main limitation of this property. A slight drive to sturgeon bay but it was nice driving on rural roads (for me atleast this is rural). There is a pack and play with bassinet attachment which was very handy for us, but note there are no bassinet sheets in the house.

Super views for nature lovers. Home offering lovingly thoughtout amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at this meticulously thought out property. The well organized kitchen was particularly helpful in preparing as many meals as we did. Our party included our 14 year old twins and 20 year old. All boys. They kayaked, fished, swam and enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fiirebowl. Our one son caught several fish from one of the kayaks. We particularly liked the seclusion with easy access to Sturgeon Bay if you want go into town. It leaves room for many options.

Gorgeous and well appointed!

This was our first time renting in Vrbo, but we’ve rented through other platforms in the past. Often times you have to cross your fingers that the place will have what you need, especially if you plan to cook a lot as I usually do. At Rocky Shores, the constant refrain of our visit was “Wow! I can’t believe they provide _____!” Dana has truly thought of everything a guest might need during their visit. Anytime I had a question about the place, Dana responded almost immediately. I appreciated this so much! There is truly no skimping at Rocky Shores and guest experience is clearly the priority. The little touches around the cottage were charming- vintage Pyrex in the kitchen, original Door County art on the walls, etc. The grounds were awesome, and we enjoyed using the kayaks, the fire pit, and the hammock. Sitting on the rocks and watching the birds was relaxing. There was enough room in the yard for catch, and a beautiful deck to sit and enjoy each other’s company. The bunk house was perfect for our teenage boys! They enjoyed having their own space but it was close enough to the main house for my comfort. Overall, a wonderful place for a family getaway! We would absolutely consider returning. Thank you!
