We had a very enjoyable stay. Sleek and clean cottage with a unique design. It is right on the highway but the owners placed sound machines in each bedroom to override road noise. We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Really appreciated that I could bring my dog along. Thanks for a great stay.
We paid Over $900 for 3-Nights. For us this was a lot of money so there are certain things we expected to be better.
Starting with the positives.. Amy was wonderful about communication. Check-In was a breeze with a door code. Great Wifi.
The negatives.. upon arrival we were greeted with hundreds of ladybugs everywhere. So many were dead on the kitchen counters it was hard to believe the cleaner had just finished as we were told. By our 2nd day, you couldn't walk without stepping on several -- they were all over the seating, beds, etc. Amy did offer to have the cleaning lady come out upon our arrival but we chose to try to maintain them ourselves as we were anxious to settle in & relax.
We shared this home with friends, so imagine the embarrassment when we realized (while someone was naked in the shower) that you could clearly see them taking a shower from INSIDE the sunroom of the house! We worked around it - we're adults - but some type of covering is highly suggested so you can enjoy your shower without constant paranoia. :X
The bed my husband and I slept on (in what feels like a master closet to the main bedroom) was simply the hardest mattress on top of a frame - no softness whatsoever. We usually splurge on VRBO's for the cleanliness & better beds - so this was a Huge disappointment. Some type of memory foam is a must imo!
The nastiest part were all the obvious, bright yellow, pee stains all over the rugs & the one spare blanket in the closet. Bring house shoes. :X
Weâll design reclaimed barn provided a great place for us to get away. Host was very attentive and we enjoyed our stay. Make sure you book a float down the river. Itâs a beautiful paddle.
So beautiful little cozy cabin, however directly next to HWY 13 sounds like vehicles are coming thru the walls. The 2nd bedroom is off the main bedroom in what appears to be a closet with no air ventilation this makes it difficult for sleeping.
The staircase to the river is not really stairs at all itâs extremely hard to navigate down and back besides the fact you walk directly by the other cabin.
As previously stated 1 couple to this cabin and no more due to size.
We loved the colorful, unique design of the space and appreciated the unique aspects of the house. Jen was proactive in messaging with us and open to feedback.
The house is very very close to a highway, and the noise from semis, trucks, and motorcycles interrupted our sleep during the night. The house also has some large uncovered windows, including one in the shower, that faces a road across the river.
The screened in porch and swings are lovely and provide a nice experience for lounging. The dining table area is one of a kind!
This place is perfect for the creative person who wants to get away. It is everything you see in the photos and more! Every detail is thoughtfully planned for the person who appreciates beautiful, interesting, and modern design while being surrounded by the peace of nature. It even has dinnerware handmade by the owner! I was especially taken by the turret...with a skylight! You won't regret your visit!
