We had to leave a day early because we saw a big black spider on the front door handle. Squirrels in the hickory tree dropping nuts on the metal roof was not fun either. I tried to call the host the morning we were leaving and only got recorded messages and left a message.
This cabin is a peaceful retreat. We drove 4 hours for a weekend of relaxation and thatâs exactly what we got. The cabin was clean with clear instructions for everything. Staff was very responsive when we called to book an extra day. I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family.
This may have been a short vacation for us but was by far the best! We were able to spend time together without Xboxes and phones. We hiked, we relaxed, we sat at the table and had dinner all together and even cooked together! I really canât find any complaints maybe the downstairs bed was a little too firm for me or freaking yourself out because your daughter tells you about the movie that was made in the area that is a horror movie as we are pulling in the drive. It was great and the owners were more than fast to reply to any questions we had! We are considering giving up our Disney World trip this year to go back!!!
Just as advertised. Cabin was very cozy and clean. Really liked the big windows in the back bringing the outside in on chilly mornings. Saw deer every morning. Hot tub was very relaxing and private.
It was everything we wanted and more. Kitchen stocked with everything you could need, and clear directions for everything. A beautiful cabin on a secluded piece of land.
Check in was very easy. It was good the packet contained directions how to get to the cabin as GPS is very spotty. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The internet worked very well. It was nice there was a working phone in case of emergencies. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and wash clothes for the stay. The cabin was close to all the attractions. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking. Looking forward to staying here again.
This cabin was amazing. There was...ice trays, Keurig pot, coffee pot, pizza cutter, informational magazines and pamphlets, flashlights, etc... a lot of things that made the stay more comfortable and easy.
My only suggestion would be to make the check in process more clear. I asked what the procedure was and was told that I would go to the office to get the envelope. The envelope would have the key and the directions to the cabin. I used the address that was under 'My Trips' on the Vrbo app, assuming that this was the office address, but it was the address to the cabin. So we went to the cabin first. Then I had to call the host to ask for the office address. This was an inconvenience because we had to go back about 15 miles...where we already had been...and then drive back to the cabin. Not too big of a deal, but I feel like this could definitely be avoided for future reservations.
The host was great. She answered my messages and phone calls promptly.
The furniture in the cabin is very comfortable. I slept like a baby every night! I would love to know the name brand of the mattress! So comfy! Beautiful spot close to Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave. This was a great location.
Location was perfect for exploring Hocking hills. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we enjoyed the hot tub and firepit after our days of hiking. Quiet and comfortable.
The cabin was nice, but we didnt know there was not internet or phone service. We had to watch DVD's and there was no way to call out if emergency as the landline had no dial tone. If your looking for a quaint place to unplug this is def it.
My husband and I, our three teens, one pre-teen, and our dog really enjoyed the cabin, the location, and the seclusion. It was clean, had great directions to the cabin, and easy to follow instructions for the stay. The only thing that could have made it better would have been some board games! This was our second Tim in Hocking Hills, and we will definitely stay here again!
My girlfriends and I decided to celebrate away from Columbus and enjoy the solitude of Hocking Hills. And we are glad that we did! We enjoyed the hot tub, hiking at Old Man's Cave and preparing delicious food and drinks. It was just what we needed. Thank you and I'll look for Lazy Lane cabins for my next cabin adventure.
