The tv remote didn’t work, it was replaced by the time we’d got back. It’s a very old beautiful building but tired now I’m afraid. No facilities for food at all. Apparently everything changed after Covid

Was really concerned given reviews but we found this hotel to be excellent. Friendly reception, quiet room at rear on 3rd floor. The bijou lift worked! Spotless room and en suite. No hairs no bugs adjustable heating, opening windows, comfy beds great sleep. Yes its old but you cant stay in a Victorian building and expect hermetically sealed Barrett home with Ikea furniture! Maybe rooms vary but would stay again and a great location.

We stayed for one night in the "lower ground" level. It was quiet and private, but access was difficult with bags. The Rose Court is functional, and bed layout was good, but is the hotel is in major need of remodel. If you need a budget location, it may work, but we won't stay again. Location was great and there is an excellent nearby restaurant for breakfast, La Masseria!
