The communication was great. A minor check-in hiccup that was quickly resolved.A clean room in a clean, well-maintained home. Not in the heart of London, but only a 30-45 minute Uber from most everything. Across the street from a bus stop, and only a 15-minute walk from the Tube. Quite convenient for those who are willing to immerse themselves a little!Definitely priced appropriately.
We were completely locked out of our room for an entire day and night, and they are refusing to compensate us properly. My spouse and I were forced to sit on the couch and not sleep all night, in addition from being unable to access our medication from inside. The hosts were radio silent. We found out that someone else staying in the house knew the code to our room, posing a huge safety concern. The bathroom was also filthy, and there was no hand soap for the whole 7 days we were there. We had cold showers the last 3 days we were there. The fridge had rotten food and juices and completely stunk. There was also no fire extinguisher as they claimed there is. The last few things we wouldn't have complained about if it wasn't for the "inconvenience" (as they call it) of being locked out of our room. Travelers beware.
The property itself is a lovely historical home with unique charm and character. The amenities of the home were very good for any traveller. The management was awesome to communicate with and very attentive to any requests or guest needs. It is a shared space propertyâŠ.sharing kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Because there are only 6 or 7 rooms⊠the number of people to share the space is fair and manageable. Not everyone has the same standards of cleanliness⊠so there were some improvements required for refreshing the property furniture. A twice per day cleaning person is suggested for maintaining the cleanliness. No permanent tenants are also recommended to fully accommodate and respect the guests staying.
Overall the house is stunningly beautiful and well decorated. There's lots of light and high ceilings and a beautiful garden. It's a good price and nice to be relatively close to new cross and Peckham. My only complaint is that the house is quite crowded - 7 rooms across 2 kitchens (1.5 fridges), 1 living room, and 2 bathrooms so there are some downsides that come with that.My room backed up to the downstairs kitchen and as a result I'd often get woken up by late night or early morning folks in there. The number of people means you sometimes come back to folks not washing up after themselves in the kitchen too. Also, the vibe was a bit strange in that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, everyone seemed to just keep their own personal stock that they stored elsewhere.
A clean affordable base to explore London Transport on your doorstep. Great facilities. Appreciated the nice touches of shower gel , shampoo and extra toilet paper.
From start to finish all communication was fast and very helpful. My room was extremely comfortable as were all the amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
This place was fantastic! It was clean, cozy, and well-organized. The host team was super friendly and provided great local tips. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see.
