If your exploring the Eastern sierra area you Can't beat lone pine pine. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. I contacted the host because of a small issue and he quickly responded and took care of it. I would stay here again if coming back to this area.
Quaint little spot right in the heart of town. Very comfortable, strong A/C and easy access to everything. We had a great stay. Would definitely come back.
This property worked well. Close to stores. restaurants and scenic areas. Not modern or luxurious but worked for me. Across the street from fire station but wasn't issue while I was there. Has smart TV but without cable. Plenty of kitchen amenities. I would recommend as alternative for many travelers to motel.
This property is an excellent bargain for the price. We had some initial difficulties with signing in to the WiFi network because of wrong information provided by VRBO, information the owner had failed to update. The owner was initially hard to contact, though very helpful once VRBO tracked him down. The home is a bit dated but well equipped and perfect for a base camp from which to explore the area. Comfortable and adequate for the slightly adaptable renter!
The house was clean, comfortable, well equipped and a perfect location for exploring Lone Pine. We could walk to everything in town. Only hiccup was dealing with the lock box which I found very challenging and was grateful that one of our party was savvy about various steps and after several attempts able to maneuver it to open.
Property was very clean and met all of our needs. Bed was comfortable and my son reported the futon was comfortable as well (thick mattress on it). Kitchen had everything we needed. Right in Lone Pine with groceries and restaurants nearby. We used it as a jump off point for a day in Death Valley. I would recommend this property! Thank you for the stay!
Beautiful downtown feelings. Everything necessary is easily accessible like grocery store, fuel, restaurants etc. The place is clean, safety and Close to Death valley. It is in front of Lone Pine Fire department.
Stayed at this house to climb for a few days at Alabama Hills, which was like 10 minutes away. Super clean home. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bed and futon were comfortable. Bedding was nice and cozy. On a quiet street, especially for a weekend. The owner was so nice and accommodating, even brought a new air mattress over for an extra person, along with an electric blanket to make sure weâd be warm. This will be my first choice for lodging every time Iâm in Lone Pine. I highly recommend it.
Location is great. Close walking distance to everything. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Has a laundry room but no laundry soap. Bedroom bed was lumpy and out kilter. Bedding was nice. No television as the router box was missing. The World Series was on so this fact was kind of a downer.
Back patio was still being worked on. Needs some lights.
Our stay was terrific. This little cabin was super clean. Everything was just perfect conveniently located to everything in walking distance to all the town. quiet surrounding overall great would stay again. Thank you
The cottage worked out well for us while exploring the Whitney Portal area and Manzanar. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The shower was excellent. We enjoyed walking to restaurants both nights so didn't use the kitchen much but it was well stocked. The cottage sits on a commercial street across from the fire department but was very quiet while we were there. It feels like stepping back in time.
This is a small house a block off the main street in Lone Pine, which is a small town. Other than being right across the street from the fire house, it was quiet at night and quite private.
Despite appearing old, it was exceptionally clean. Everything in the kitchen worked and there was a great assortment of utensils and cookware.
My one suggestions is to bring a small nightlight. There's a step down from the bedroom to the utility room, then a stup up to the kitchen and bathroom. A night light would be helpful.
I would stay here again to visit the incredible Alabama Hills.
The location is prime. Parking wonderful. Space and amenities of the home were helpful. My only complaint is that the shower did not drain well so it quickly filled up the shower tray. After hiking and trying to rinse off the grime it was pretty gross to stand in the filth. Iâm sure itâs an easy fix though!
Walking distance to anything in Lone Pine you could want/need, easy parking, quiet street, quaint little place, and 30 min from the trailhead for Whitney Portal (currently Whitney portal road is closed and has a detour). Fantastic place to recover for a night after the grueling summit journey too. Really enjoyed our stay!
This house is one block off 395 on a quiet street. The place was clean with soft bedding and thick towels. The kitchen has a very small work area and is well stocked. The building is quite old and somewhat dated but the things you will use, as well as the appliances are updated. There is a swamp cooler in the back of the house and if you are not familiar with them, you have to open a window a few inches to get the cold air to flow toward that area of the house. So, in this case, the living room window needs to be opened a few inches to pulled the cool air throughout the house. We based out of Lone Pine for 4 days of hiking and found this house perfect for our needs and would stay there again.
