A wonderful family getaway

This is a great place to stay. Clean, spacious, and well stocker with everything you will need for a family vacation. It’s a short walk to the beach and close enough to downtown to walk as well. It’s located in a nice neighborhood that is safe and convenient.

Wonderful Home

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at the Whale House. Everything was in perfect condition and the fully fenced backyard was a major plus for our dog.

A great place to stay in Long Beach !

Perfect house for all of our family. Close to town and had all amenities . Back yard fire pit was fun in the evening. We will choose Whales Tale again next year !

Quiet and Comfortable

This is a comfortable house that is away from the hustle and bustle of town. Short walk to the Discovery Trail and the beach. We enjoyed having the backyard to grill dinner and to allow our dog some freedom.

Overall it's a nice place. Outdoor patio furniture wasn't clean (mossy), couch very uncomfortable and no TV's in the bedrooms but the house is cute and well laid out. Would suggest soft-white LED lights instead of daylight bulbs since they are stark white.

There was 4 of us. We liked the location. The house was very dirty. The sign says take off your shoes but your feet will be filthy after walking on floors and carpet. One guest had a bug bite overnight. I reported the dirty conditions and they offered to send people in to clean while we were using the home. That is not a solution as our time is limited and before is when the house should have been cleaned.

Great time

I loved it but I think it would be great if you posted how long it takes to walk to the beach that would help grandparents walking with grands. It was lovely. Very quiet neighborhood. Very nice home. Wonderful mangers of property. I was mistaken as to how close it was but it worked out GREAT. We will most likely rent again thanks for the wonderful stay

Family weekend getaway

House was just what we needed! Good location, enough rooms, allowed animals. Downside was that it was very surface level clean. It was quite dirty/grimey and needs a really good deep clean/shampoo the carpets or take the carpet out. My nephew is 10 months and when crawling the dirt had come off the carpet/floor onto his clothes in the areas that rubbed the floor. Definitely needs some TLC. Only other thing was the temperature downstairs was pretty cold and had it of been any colder out idk if it would have been manageable/comfortable. Overall good experience, soft beds and nice place to stay

Very nice summer house

We found that the house was comfortable for a family stay. It had many nice touches. Great for kids and pets. Wonderful location. Quiet neighborhood. Not far from beach. Long Beach is a lovely vacation spot. There are many historic markers and notable spots from the Lewis & Clark expedition. The beach is also known for kites. The property was fairly well maintained but needs more attention to the details. 2 of the bedrooms had no where to unpack clothing except hang on hangers. The backyard is not escape proof. The master bath toilet was backing up. The Property mgr brought over a plunger. Towel rack in master bath was not anchored on wall. Shower in master bath tub didn't work. Master bedroom lamp did not work. The IKEA foam mattresses left me achy. The bed frame had amateurish repair. The backyard grill needs to be replaced. It is clean but looks unsafe. We did not use the grill. The propane tank was empty.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: REVIEWS ARE FAKE FROM LOCAL RESIDENTS!!!DIRTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, and worst of all, false advertising. House was advertised as having a separate office for a workation house. Turns out there is no such room. Also, at midnight the entire closet in the master bedroom can crashing down - turns out they didn’t even hang an entire closet in STUDS! Can you believe that!?! It could have fallen on any of my four children - AND THE FILTH! Sticky dirty counters, dust everywhere, greasy fridge handles and stove, just awful and gross. I’ve give this place four chances and same on me for giving them so many. I warn y’all, take a close look at their “cleaning” and you’ll see it isn’t clean at all. WORST experience thus far with bloomer, the past vacation there was DOG POOP IN THE LIVING ROOM STILL? And they said they cleaned? Yeah right!! Should have never given a second chance after that, but we did and honestly, shame on me DO NOT GO THRU BLOOMER, their reviews are fake from friends and local residents!!!!!!

Family Get Away

Our first impression was good, but if you plan on cooking, bring your own pots and pans. The kitchen is poorly stocked. The kitchen was clean though. We were frustrated when it came to showering and towels. There was one wash cloth in the entire house for four adults to share. I texted the management company to see about getting more, but never got a response. Over all, a nice enough house, but we wouldn't stay there again.

Roomy but not as clean as could be.

It was a very nice house but there was dog hair on the furniture and we had to cover everything up due to allergies. There also needs to be more silverware and dishes for larger groups.

Whale's Tale

Great property -- well-kept, quiet neighborhood with easy access to the beachside trail, and a short drive to the town center and main boardwalk. Plenty of room for two adults and four kids, great open layout for cooking + interacting, and lovely back yard with grill and fire pit (s'mores!!!). We had a fantastic time staying here and would definitely do it again.
