Check-in was nice and easy and the person that helped us was great. The rooms were extremely dirty and we had stains on our sheets. The elevator stopped working during our stay. I got charged for two nights of parking when I only selected and parked for one night, and when I messaged about it, I never got a response so I had to call in to get my refund for this that I have yet to receive. The water pressure in the bathrooms and in the shower was terrible, you couldn’t even hear that the shower was on when it was. It was just overall a cheap hotel.

Major inconvenienced throughout my entire stay was that the main elevators were down. Guests were able to use the single service elevator but caused longer wait for the elevator. Waited almost ten minutes. There was a day where the elevator was not working and everyone had to take the stairs. There was a lot of traffic with people bringing their luggage down.

Staff was nice with check in and check out. Issues: Listed a free shuttle but at check in a learned it did not run before 6am so I had to still pay for an Uber to the airport. Elevators were on the fritz. One elevator wasn’t working at all (note on it stating it was out of order). The other elevator would go up but we weren’t able to call it to our floor the two times we tried. Food at the bar was ok and the bar tender was nice and efficient.

Poorly maintained hotel - shame on Hilton! Our sliding bathroom door completely did not work, we couldn’t shut it at all. During the night, when you go in to use the bathroom the light comes on and lights up the whole room. We asked to have it fixed or change room; they called us literally at 11 pm when we were in bed asleep to finally address it. Will NEVER stay in this hotel again.

Our stay at the DoubleTree Hilton El Segundo was nothing short of a disaster. The first room we were given reeked of stale cigarette smoke—completely unacceptable for a non-smoking hotel. We were moved to another room, only to find heavily stained carpets, sticky surfaces, and an overall sense of filth. It looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in years. We were told housekeeping would service our room every other day. That never happened once. Trash bins overflowed, dirty towels piled up, and the bed was never touched. When we called to ask for clean towels, we were told we had to come down to the lobby and get them ourselves. That is not service—it’s laziness. Worse, within 20 minutes of arriving, two elevators broke down—with guests trapped inside. The fire department had to use the jaws of life to free them. It was chaos. How does a Hilton property let that happen? Then came the lack of hot water. We reported it, they “fixed” it, and it broke again the next day. Zero reliability. The assistant manager, Razvan, was cold, condescending, and completely useless. He looked annoyed we even dared to complain. No apology, no urgency, no accountability. We weren’t alone—dozens of guests were complaining about the same issues. Dirty rooms. No service. Broken elevators. Incompetent management. This hotel is a complete failure. Unsafe, unsanitary, and utterly disgraceful. Do not stay here.
