The Hauser House is a paradise in LaLa Land! We often rent from VRBO when a hotel just won't do, such as for a stay longer than a few days. There is nothing nicer than to have a couple of spaces to relax in and an equipped kitchen for breakfast (and maybe more.) Well, THIS PLACE was all that and much, much more. The property is extremely well-sited for those who wish to visit the Petersen, LACMA, The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and the La Brea Tar Pits, as well as the Grove and the Farmer's Market. It's all within walking distance and the neighborhoods are lovely. The 1920s bungalow has been reimagined as an intimate California art haven, tastefully furnished in an eclectic, B&W urban style. There are large windows in every room and four doors to the outdoor seating and dining areas. The landscaping is exquisite - succulents, cacti and potted citrus trees. The premises are private and quiet, despite the somewhat busy Hauser Bouelvard.Everything is one-of-a-kind, - original artwork, collectible ceramics, glassware.... and books, books, books everywhere. We loved the hosts' sense of whimsy and humor. Rest assured, the basics - sheets, towels, linens, dishes - were not basic at all. They thought of everything.I'm not including photos because there are 45 with the listing and that will tell you everything. Communications were kind and helpful. We recommend this property to anyone who appreciates art, design and humor. Thank you.
