This property is in a great location with nice amenities and views, but the apartment itself was unacceptable and far from “luxury.” Upon arrival, we were met with a filthy bedroom carpet that turned our socks black, a toilet brush holder filled with brown water, stained dishes that had to be rewashed, and a TV that didn’t work until we purchased batteries ourselves. There was no lighting in the bedroom or closet, forcing us to use flashlights. The couch was different from the listing and stained, toiletries were diluted/cheap and barely usable, and laundry detergent was missing which we were told would be provided. We reported these issues immediately, but no real solution was offered beyond having cleaners enter during our stay, which we declined for privacy. Cleaners would not have been able to resolve this issue without heavy duty equipment and hours of cleaning/drying the carpet. We were offered late checkout until 2 PM due to the inconvenience, yet by 12:30 we were harassed by the cleaning crew and received 17 calls and 5 texts insisting checkout was at 11 AM. This caused stress, rushed packing, and forgotten items.This aggressive behavior and miscommunication were completely unprofessional and ruined our last day.This was meant to be a celebratory trip but became frustrating due to poor preparation, cleanliness issues, and harassing treatment. Given the numerous cleanliness, maintenance, and communication issues, I strongly believe compensation is warranted.
