For the price I shouldn't complain but the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. The rooms can be noisy from the surrounding area and the water pipes made a lot of noise.

It was quiet and comfortable. The room was big and checkin was super simple. I would have liked the ability to stream on the TV. I would also have liked more gluten free breakfast options. I could have a banana or Cheerios only. Overall it was a great spot for the money.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable the one major negative issue was that the a/c unit was so loud when it kicked in all night long and the neighbors TV was very loud.

Quiet, safe neighbourhood and Starbucks down the street. Parking in LA is always an issue. We could stay in this location only for that. Safe and secure. Rooms are fine. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board, microwave, very good fridge and the shower has a great stream. Some furniture finishes are a little warn but that does not bother me at all. Price was reasonable making up for that. We walked to the 7/11 around midnight for Ice cream and it was safe and quiet. If a place to sleep is what you want and you travel with a vehicle, the Portofino in works.

Bang for your buck

The stay was very good for the price. Nice bed and sofa, shower has great pressure and temp control, standard fridge, hair v dryer amenities, etc. I was concerned there be enough parking spots but there were plenty available. The free breakfast is pretty standard. Fruit juices, milk, cereal, tea, coffee, small pastries, yogurt, etc. There was no fruit on the second day though. This is just a side note, but my neighbors for some reason decided to start singing at 2am in the morning. A couple knocks to the wall got them to stop so I didn't have to call the front desk. This was the only unpleasant part of the stay. Overall, for having one of the lowest rates in the area, it was a very nice stay.

Hidden gem. Doesnt look fancy, but rooms are AMAZING. Great simple breakfast, super friendly staff. Few mins to Universal. about 10 dollars Lyft/Uber ride. Highly recommended.
